Most peoples dreads that i have seen who choose to backcomb eventually fall out and it turns into the natural route from there but all the t&r dreads i have seen usually stay in and look good.
^exactly. now, you're hating on my beliefs? wow. sounds like you're just tryna make frenz. go head player.
You're a douchenozzle. Who the fuck are you to say anyone else is a poser? Why don't you just admit that you wack it to the 700 club, you'll be much happier.
I remember when I got in trouble for calling someone a douche nozzle in this forum. I'm glad to see things have changed for the better and we can call each other douche nozzles in peace.
indeed. And yes, I'm trying to wrangle up as many internet friends as possible. I need them to do my bidding.
wow, corey it seems that you have done a 360 with the whole beliefs thing which proves what i thought from the beginning, twat.
Well thanks for all the advice guys...sorry two pages were probably nothing but bitching but hey it's all in good fun!
i cant even guess what you're trying to say here. really, i have no clue. i'm still the same judaeo-christian.
the whole natural>t&r>backcombing thing seems a little odd to me... myself and three friends in town all did bc and none of them have fallen out, two of them and myself have maintained, and the other chick let it go after the initial backcombing. really the only t&r i've seen on here that looks better than any of the backcombing i've seen is chaos' set, and luxie's (i believe luxie did t&r?). theirs looked great in their first photos and still look nice and that's a rather uneducated opinion since i've seen all of 3 or 4 sets t&r on here, and it's not that the others look bad, they just don't have the body and progress i've seen first hand and online in backcombing natural is very obviously the best form of dreading as they are 'true' dreadlocks. everything else is practically synthetic (i still consider my hair as dreaded, dreadlocks, whatever, but i DO acknowledge the fact that natural/neglect/patience locks are the purest form of locking, doesn't mean i have to like or revere the person who has them). i just don't have the patience to look like crap for years on end to get wicked fat dreads lol, although to anyone with dreads who is educated in the process, all stages of a natural set are totally rad because you can see where they will end up. honestly for me it's natural>backcombing=t&r, depending on what you can deal with. t&r and backcombing are on the same level for me. more people need to do t&r for comparison though, but the ones that were done really well are right on par with my own backcombing experiences. i'll probably stick with what i know though, unless one of the people i plan on dreading requests something different, i'll be more than willing to try it out.
how long did you go at it for? me and two friends took 10 hours on my hair, we had all of it done in 2, we just went back and tightened for 8 more over two days. ALOTTAMOVIES.
