i've still never tried pisco.

i've had a few drinks of slivovitz, though today. first ever. not getting drunk though, at least not yet. maybe later. but i have class in a couple hours, so no more for a while

 

I love Pisco, most kinds at least. But I wish I had some Aguardiente, I miss that shit and it seems impossible to get around here.

 

pisco is exceedingly uncommon in the states. the liquor store recently started carrying one brand, i forget which though. but i've been meaning to try pisco for quite some time. maybe i'll get around to it eventually.

 

Luckily enough it's probably the most common drink here in Latin America. And cheap as fuck too.

 

i hear its the national drink of both peru and chile, while also being consumed widely in other areas.


i have had cachaca. i dont hate it, but not my thing. but i do realize of course that the beverages are very different. its just the only south american liquor i've had, and it colors my expectations despite being a completely different spirit.

no, cachaca is like a white sugarcane rum from brazil. i don't like white rum usually, but heard it was different, so i gave it a chance. it is indeed very different.

 

i haven't drank in a year.

Never had that one, but there's thousands different kinds. Most bottles go for about 1-4 dollar.

 

Must be a bit like Aguardiente then. At first it tastes like dishwater residu, but it'll slowly improve on you.

 

When I get home I'm going to go with 151 and Dr. Pepper.
