I have read so many posts on this forum which mention "severe nausea" and "violent puking". On the other hand, I have also read quite a few which indicate very little to no nausea at all. (depending upon extraction methods) I was wondering if anyone can provide a more clear description of the severity of nausea experienced...will I be wretching until my throat is raw, or is it an inconvenient discomfort? The difference can obviously be significant while under the influence of hallucinogens...it can mean the difference between a blissful out-of-body trip, or an eight hour nightmare. Any help in gaining a better understanding would be greatly appreciated before I try them...they may wind up being my new best friend!!! (sorry cocoa)
I have never be seasick, but the way I would describe it is as what I think being sea sick is like. It's not like the nausea that can accompany DXM. First of all, the syrup will make me puke, without any assistance on my part. Every time I've done HWBR (which is twice), I forced myself to vomit just to make the nausea go away. It's just an all around unpleasant feeling, a queesiness in the stomach, a heaviness in the limbs. Usually the effect begin to kick in 5 - 10 minutes after I vomit.
I'm suppoused to get my seeds anyday now. I wanna try the sublingual method. Just stir the seed mush in a shot of orange juice (and lime juice??) for five minutes, then just put the mixture into my mouth and swish it around for 20-30 minutes, then spit it out. Supposedly there is 0 nausea this way.
Do an extraction. Grind up the seeds to a fine powder, soak them in orange juice (I prefer orange juice but you can use water too) for 30 minutes, filter through a reusable coffee filter and drink the liquid. Works for me every time, and I haven't puked once.
I can crush the seed into a fine powder (just smash it) but I can't separate the furry coat on it . . . I've tried using hunting knives, boiling it, nail clippers, shaving it . . . the damn furry coat does not come off, only in tiny slivers. So I gave up and ate it with the furry coat . . . vomited violently about 6 times in 3 hours and then passed out.
I just received seeds from IAmShaman, and they have no coatings. They are the Hawaiian seeds btw. EDIT: maybe they do, I cant tell.
I took a benedryl about half an hour before I took four seeds, crushed them with a hammer, and I just put all the powder in my mouth and washed it down with orange juice. I had almost no nausea.
Thanks man...I've gone through some pretty severe nausea before while getting chemotherapy, so I think this will pale in comparison. I should be able to handle it fine.
How about... Crush the seeds, empty a tea bag, put the crushed seeds in the bag, seal it shut somehow, and suck on the seeds in the tea bag for a while? None of the seed casing would be consumed, and the nausea would decrease drastically.
I usually just smash the seeds up with a hammer and put it all in a cup with some energy drink (I've used Monster and NOS, i don't think it matters) and drank it all. The worst I got was a feeling that there was something stuck in my throat.
The first time I did seeds there was almost no nausea. The next few times had me crumpled over for about two hours with the most hideous nausea of my life. Dramamine did almost nothing, weed helped a little, but overall I've found that I just have to accept it as part of the experience. Then again, I never have attempted extractions of any kind, so munching the little bastards has yielded considerable variety of results in and of itself. Also, I've tried eating them with and without the fuzz and found there to be no difference.
