is acetone right for extractions???

is it good to extract using accetone? does it evaporate completely?
im planning on extracting plant materils using acetone.
i let it chill for a day or two with the choped leafs and then filter it into a new jar.


and another question: will it eat my result? cuse i know acetone can eat shit..
and if it could, will acetone harm dmt?

I'm not sure about DMT, i know acetone is popular with Salvia and other plant matter extractions though.

from my trials acetone is worthless when extracting, i never had good yeilds with it. but i did make some nice dmt infused smoking herbs with it...

 

go for naptha or mineral spirits for dmt.

 

putting it in a freezer helps remove some of the acetone from dmt. Or mabey i got it backwards

 

Problem with acetone is that it dissolves lots of things.

you want a nonpolar solvent for your extraction, like naptha, mineral spirits, or something else like ether. Naphtha is kinda yucky smelling, imho.

preferably something that evaporates completely, so it should have a low boiling point.
