Hi there, my name is Cuppy and im trying to find ANY info on the festival taxi's. I would love a job with these guys since i have NO responsibilities, kids, or wife! I always wanted a traveling job and these guys would be perfect!! I need a number, email addy or some way to get in touch.....PLEASE HELP!!!

A 'Fes Taxi' would imply that it is a service to get folks from one festival to another & since Rainbows Gather, it doesn't seem like this would be the place to post, try the festival forum...but be aware that in performing such services, commercial insurance would be needed. And Zen, I have seen & ridden in a taxi at a Rainbow Gathering, MN'90...friends of ours from Nebraska had purchased an old yellow cab & had driven it Home that year, we made a trip into town with them. As far as trail 'taxis', I like the bike folks who taxi supplies & folks in need of a lift. Folks at our kitchen tried to talk the leos into being taxis with their ATVs in MO'96, but the leos wouldn't go for it .
I try not to think of the trail taxi. If my ailments get worse I'll be riding in one. It would be embarassing.
If one needs extra help, it shouldn't be an embarassment, it should be a testiment of one's strength, coming Home despite ailments or challenges.

Thanx guys, i really apreciate ALL the help youve given me. NO, im not a braindead idiot on the other end but i DID look for the festival forum...ITS NOT THERE!!! TRUST ME!!! I looked like 7 or 8 different times trying to find it. Anyhow, i see where the love is on THIS site! I was really being serious about trying to find this job and just asked for a little help from anyone. WTF happened? How did this all get turned around?? Oh well...guess i dont get the job!

Your posts are just a little uptight & stressed out, which is how this got turned around...I mean check 'em out, you were saying that you couldn't find the Rainbow forum while you were posting in it. You're still having some sort of meltdown, meanwhile Hippiehillbilly has been nice enough to give you a link & Malakala has quoted the link. I guess I'll spell it out for you... Go to the Blue words that say 'Events & Festivals' and click your mouse on those words. Ask your question in that forum because it's more likely that someone there will know about your Fes Taxi.
Truly, Hippiestead is a kind soul for so gingerly telling our taxi tweaker to ease up just a bit...I'll refrain from responding directly so as to not sound harsh...I'll let the dichotomy of HHB & Hippiestead cover the spectrum for me!!! Lovin' you both!
Rainbow is NOT a festival. there arent taxis, or any other job u would get payed in money to do. if u want a job for money doing that then go to where the festival taxis are: at a festival, and ask one of them how they got their job. if u want to be with kind loving people; share some peace and love, and perhaps some spiritual uplifting then u are welcome to come home to a Rainbow Gathering. please bring kindness and leave the foul mouth though.
WOW! Finally were getting somewhere here! LOOK! Ive looked all over this website looking for this "events and fetivals" thing and seriously...i couldnt find it! Yes, i guess i was a little stressed out trying to find this info and i appologize for that. BUT!! You try finding any info on this and see if YOUR more successful than me! Ive been on the comp nonstop trying anything and anybody to help me get closer to my goal. I just thought this might be a great place to start. Besides, i just got on this site and its pretty complicated for new people! Was just looking for help guys, wasnt looking for a fight...and didnt realize that i was on the "rainbow" part of this...i thought i was on the clean vibes part...sry
You might try this page that I found on a search...I didn't check it out cuz I have dial-up. myspace.com/festivaltaxi Other ideas are checking festival sites, like the Bonnarroo site. With the computer, the search limitations are only as limited as you allow them to be.
