I found these in a cluster a few days ago and have not started drying them yet, as I didn't want to waste my time. I did a spore test and it came out black. if anyone knows anything about this species please share it with me.

Oh, and to note: the caps are fairly flat although they are angled in the picture and also each stem has a ring around it in the middle.

eat them and find out. four things can happen
    1. nothing
    2. you get sick
    3. you fry
    4. you die

I'd say 50/50 are good chances

I would highly recommend against eating them because several EXTREMELY poisonous species (including the death cap, and others I can't remember) have that same whiteish look to them. Unless you can completely verify it, it's not worth it to take that risk becuase if you take a toxic one at best youll be puking and shitting your guts out for god knows how long and at worst you would need a liver transplant or else you'd die.

I'm pretty sure you get my point, you'll be happier alive probably.

Ok, i'll add this piece of information. After I did my identification which proved to be a few species and my spore test I ate a quart of one cap and felt fine all day. Then I ate a half of a cap and half of a stem and felt fine and actually felt like I had a nicotine buzz. So my question now is, is this a good sign and should I continue to scale up in doses until I am sure I have psychedelics? These grow in my yard and I can harvest them after every rain, when they grow.

One more note, death cap is usually flat after days. These grew last night and were picked today, but the tests I did were on a different batch over the course of a few days to ensure any negative symptoms time to set in.

I say you should go to the doctors, doesn't mushroom poisoning take like 7 days to start.

it would depend on what poison is in them, but i've never heard anything like that. sounds a bit far fetched to me. poisons generally work rather immediately. if its damaging to the body it doesnt have to wait around for days before its damaging. its poison, not incubating a virus or something

Allright dude I'm just saying there still is a RISK, even if you think its not that big it actually could be, and if you can't be almost 100% about their identification, why risk that.

The high you are talking about could definitely be a placebo effect, a placebo effect can be extremely strong sometimes. If they are poisonous, though nothing bad happened then, once you take larger amounts in expecting a psychedelic experience that's when the poisonous part could start to take effect.
