Whats wrong with DXM?

I know a lot of people here don't care for tripping on DXM (and some don't like people that trip on it).
My question is: what o you have agenst tripping on DXM?
I am looking for serious answers.

 

The serious answer is: I have drank that shit over 100 times. It gets old.

Such a mediocre trip when compared to other things.

It boils down to being cheap, and like every other cheap thing, people latch on to it like Christian Bale's nut sack.

 

Because people are dumb. They think only reel 'drugs' are the illegal ones. easily 60% of the world is dumb too, so expect it a lot.

One thing you could tell them is that DXM metabolizes into DXO, a schedule 1 chemical... Some people don't like dissociative too. Thats just preference. They also think it has a "dirty" feeling to it.

I don't agree with does though. DXM can deff be a massively overwhelming experience.

 

i dont like dxm cause 2 dxm trips caused me more mental trauma and depression than all of the lsd iv taken.

dxm is terrible. have lasting dissociation is not a nice thing.

plus it left me seeing shit and blobs of colours and shit for a long time. much worse than lsd ever gave me.

 

DXM is serious stuff!

But it can be really good experience too

If you are a searcher, looking for experiences, looking for meaning in this universe, then try dxm!
if you are a drop kick and wanna get kicked yourself, try CCC's!

but if you just like to have a nice time then DXM probably aint a good choice. Largely because of what you go through in order to ingest it

 

dxm is physically not good for you at all, especailly at the dose to get fucked up with

 

DXM is just an inferior and cheaper alternative to what is out there.
It really does feel dirty, it makes you feel stupid and ditzy and spaced-out, and there is really no clarity of meaning to the trip.

personally i think its a shallow and unrewarding experience. it is mildly interesting but physically unpleasant (nausea, itching)

it is bad for your body, primarily due to the other substances in the medications you'll be taking to get it (unless you do extractions or get pure powder)

unlike lsd or psilocybin (or even thc) it is severely neurotoxic, and can cause a specific type of brain damage similar to that of heavy ketamine or PCP use

in my area its hard to find the brands of medication containing nothing but DXM as in active ingredient anymore, and taking a lot of other drugs with it is going to increase the potential damage as well as making it far more likely to make you ill

i have no issues with the people who like to use DXM and have done so myself a few times. in fact, it was my first drug. however i feel the negative aspects vastly outweigh the positive aspects, and i have run into a few people who seem to exhibit brain damage caused by excessive indulgance (such as one notorious former member in random thoughts)

further, while i don't understand the appeal DXM can lend itself to severely addictive qualities in some people.


used responsibly, and VERY rarely, its not a big deal and i dont care. but i think its a second-rate substance, personally, and i'd prefer a proper psychedelic

my sisters boyfriend said he used to do it all of the time then he started shitting himself. i mean that's not too nice but i like it to an extent.

 

I personally enjoy taking DXM from time to time (every few months at most).
The physical side effects (namely the nasuia) suck but I can push through.
I don't use DXM or any drug (at this time) for finding meaning or enlightenment. I may in the future but not at this point.
The Fact that DMX is cheap is a plus and is the fact that I can get the gel caps that only have DXM in them. Other drugs such as LSD or shrooms I either cannot get access to or are expensive.

...And yes I am aware that you should NEVER EVER EVER TAKE CCC.

 

Yeah if you abuse them and become an addict then your likely to experience problems, but done occasionally it's fine for you (just read the big dxm faq, theres quite alot of info on it).

I've gone to the third plateau and though it was unpleasant at the time, some mental qualities were extremely interesting and I would like to pursue it again soon.

 

Haha why do people hate on DXM? It's fucking amazing. It's my favorite drug for sure.

 

I have read the FAQ many times. It is extremely helpful and I would suggest anyone who uses DXM or anyone who wonders what it's like to read it. Does anyone know what a safe amount of time to leave between trips should be? I used it 4 times last week and still feel kinda shitty. Though I'm sure that is not enough to cause lasting damage, I wouldn't do it again. The doses weren't too high.

 

I like to wait a few months between trips. If you want to do them more often I would wait until you stop feeling the after glow from your last trip and wait another day. Drink plenty of water.
(Also if the DXM FAQ says different then me then go by the FAQ.)

I purposely wrote that like that. I think its funny to see it spelt like that. Obviously from my other posts I know how to spell and used punctuation well.

But to your post, to each his own.

One thing thats bad about DXM is that it turns into an SSRI. A long acting one too. So using it often then stopping can be pretty detrimental. I do agree though that there are a million other much better drugs.

 

Ketamine > dxm

i used to enjoy it, but compared to K, it's got nothing...

 

What else have you tried? If your experience is limited to huffing paint, cocaine and herbal XTC, than it wouldnt surprise me if DXM is your favorite. However, if youve ever tried good LSD or mushrooms, then you are indeed a rare character.
