Russell Brand Live in New York Part I Watch the thing, he's good. I'd be very surprised if someone liked Russell Howard and disliked Russell Brand, they are very similar in style and delivery.
i just cant bare to listen or look at him. it's a problem when trying to enjoy any form of wit he may or may not have. i'm sorry. hes just wrong.
kaufman was good.i remember watching him on the tube you never knew what was going to happen....mort sahl would come on a stage with a newspaper and get his material from the headlines that day.his controversial remarks cost him popularity and gigs.but he was one of the comics who paved the way for many of today's talents.shelly berman one of sahl's contemporaries was another great......bob hope, richard lewis, benny hill, steve allen,
that thought crossed my mind too.i mentioned diller, cocoa and burnett.it's not that women aren't as funny as men but certainly there are few women comedians.a few are coming to mind now.some of the funniest people are women.
EWWWW... :cheers2: Same! Oh god! I can't believe I forgot him! I used to love that 'Would I lie to you' programme. Mitchell is God. Agree. Agree. Style and Delivery yes, but the jokes are different. I like Brand, but he's not someone I'm overly keen on. I really don't like his voice...
You'll keep your nice safe comedians who sold their souls for a fast buck? Um. Yeah. Lee Evans is NOT funny. I watched some of his clips, he's just a jerk.
I dunno... :leaving: Well, I like him. Probably not on the top of my list...but I couldn't think of any names.
you'd have to watch martha raye to know how funny she was.and she showed great dedication and courage doing u.s.o. shows in ww2,korea and vietnam.
please do not say Dane Cook. That really hurts me to hear. That man is to stand-up what Ernest was to hollywood blockbusters.
