Who do you find the funniest?

I am a rabid fan of stand-up comedy. Just curious as to what your general thoughts are on comedians you like, skits you like, and who you find the funniest. Comedians make life more fun in my opinion, and the really good ones make you think about what's really important and "am I taking life too seriously?" Cause sometimes the answer is yes. Peace.

P.S- If someone you like isn't on the poll please forgive me and mention them. I'd love to hear it.

yea, I wanted to put many more on the poll but I wasn't sure how many it allowed so i put 5 of the best, in my opinion. Not 'the five best', just five of the best.

i'd say they were/are all great and it's good they were around.they made us laugh and think.a few other names i'd add to the list are brian regan,steven wright,redd foxx,sam kinison,don rickles.but my favorite i guess would be jack benny.in fact the name i use on these forums is a nod to the town benny grew up in and often mentioned.he had an incredible sense of timing and most of the time he made himself the butt of the joke so that others could feel comfortable finding humor in their own lives.i'm adding in here robin williams,phil hartman,dana carvey,...second city t.v.

yesome funny ladies phillis diller,carol burnett got tim conway and harvey kormann that resulted pretty good.jonathon winters too....i agree some shows i just watch because it;s funny even though it's supposed to serious shit.

 

I always liked to watch Ralph and Norton do their magic....those guys were good.

 

what agreat team and show that was.i heard it was only filmed one season?the honeymooners.gleason really got involved in all aspects of that show.even the scenery in the apt. buildin in nyc......your show of shows in thre early 50's was truely funny.sid cesare,carl reiner,imogene cocoa,mel brooks working on that one.....glad its on dvd.....the soupy sales show....groucho marx on his game show...you bet your life........richard pryor,henny youngman,rodney dangerfield.milton berle,red skelton.

I love the hell out of Craig Ferguson. And I loved Mitch Hedberg, it's really a shame he died so young. I used to love Dane Cook, but my sense of humor seems to have outgrown his. But Jon Lajoie has stolen my top spot.
