    Hi evereybody,
How are your come-downs from psychdelics?I ask because no matter how great and beautiful the trip is for me the come-down always sucks...especially if the dose is bigger.I get lots of anxiety and a feeling that i have permanentley gone insane...

my comedown is rarely anxious and paranoid. sometimes on 2c-e i get really anxious and my body feels fatigued, but i cant sleep. but thats as bad as it gets.

i generally take mushrooms when i trip, and the come down is rarely as long, and the body load of mushrooms is less than with, say, acid or 2C-E (for me) so its usually not bad. i find so long as i have a fresh bag of pot, coming down from mushrooms is just fine.

lsd takes fucking forever to wear off completely and let me sleep, though. i dont like that

and with HBWR or 2C-E, my stomach feels upset all through the trip and until i go to bed, pretty much, so thats bothersome.

i can tolerate it, but i really wish sometimes it would hurry up and let me relax a little.

but yeah, mushrooms i dont find bad at all generally, though its still a little while before i can sleep again.

    what have you been taking?

It happens mostly on mushrooms and oral DMT.I am actually pretty scared about this thing as it seems to be uncommon...it's a feeling like i have permanentley gone insane...and it comes in waves. And all those trips where enjoyable.I feel like i am maybe waking up something that is better left alone...

in my opinion...waking everything up is what psychs do.
if you're not prepared, don't take them,
    content in the slumber,
    you bask in your water.
    dipping in, you find more
    water; health. relaxation.

uhmm...ok...i was actually thinking more in the lines of psychosis.Don't think there is much sense in preparing for that.
Or am i just afraid of what they bring and that's when the fear happens?

for me the comedowns are worse from lsd then mushrooms. i get anxious just because i normally don't sleep as it is, and by that time i'm thinking about sleeping so much that i want to sleep, but then i can't sleep. but it's never really bad. what do you expect from something so good, there's gatta be some bad!

Fear is the destroyer of the mind, and the true cause of insanity, not psychedelics or emotional trauma or any other source. It is the fear, the unwillingness to be whole, the failure to integrate and accept one's self that is truly insanity.
You are not insane, my friend. You are exposing yourself to newer and deeper currents that run through the Kosmic consciousness, and this process if very frightening to the ego, because it threatens it's very existence.
Do you meditate? It's a great way to find a calm within the storm of thoughts, so to speak.

Its just in your head because there is a dirty stigma surrounding psychedelics that says "if you eat them you will go insane".

Ask yourself, what is insanity? What is it that would make you "insane"? What is wrong with it? Is there anything wrong with it?

Besides, society says the "insane" do not know they are "insane"

The ones who call me a lunatic are usually the ones who are insane

There is nothing to fear but fear itself, as the old saying goes. Neo covered it pretty well.

As for comedown, I've never experienced what I'd call a comedown from either LSD or mushrooms. Difficulty to sleep, sure, but I figure that's just part of the trip, and a good time for me to gather my thoughts and rebuild my reality. No anxiety, nothing but a slow, steady return to reality coloured by a newfound joy of life and an appreciation of all things.

Thanks for the replys...I wish i could have a smooth comedown...gradually easing myself back to reality instead of that feeling that i am "stuck this way forever"

My last DMT trip actually scared me the most because it got so bad that i was desparelty looking for something to end that state right then and there...tried a CWE but instead used alcohol to calm me down.

In retrospect it might just have been a panic atack but i want to see what others have to say...and how common they are.

Funny thing is i am using psychedelics to get rid of this very fear...

You have to do the work of getting rid of the fear, psychedelics are just lubricants of the psychic will.

Yeah...i am begining to see this very clear now...i was actually just looking for an easy solution but the only easy solution would be to really work on it with my own will.

I am glad that i discovered psychedelics in the process...i absolutley love DMT,though i am still a little afraid to try bigger doese afer what happend to me...

The counter-intuitive thing is, the bigger dose you take, the less fear you will have.
If you skirt around the edges of psychedelics, chopping blotter papers in half and constantly thinking the whole time "Am I going to be ok? Am I going to be ok?", then you are going to be RIDDLED with fear. This is the ego, trying to grasp onto itself and familiarity. It's like, you are taking enough drugs to be exposed to what is really there, but also it's such a low amount that the ego is there to experience it as well. If you take some sort of super hero-dose, dude...you'll be so far gone that it won't even matter. You just have to let go, and whatever happens, happens. But I promise you'll come back.

:) very nice words neo,thanks...and i tend to belive you...the only doubt i still have about this is that the actual trip is always fantastic for me...it's on the come-down when it begins to wear of that shit like that happens...i guess i am probably affraid to let go...but it is always good to be a little cautious... So what kind of dose would you recommand for my next mimosahuasca trip?...last time i took 2,5g rootbark of some potent stuff that was fully active at around 3g(meaning that 3g would be equivalent to 10g normal mimosa)also i did not respect the diet fully and i am sure that played a part,at least psychologically.

What are come ups like for you? Those are generally the part of the trip that is the most frightening.
And I know nothing about mimosahuasca, sorry.

Well come-ups for me are ok i guess...nothing really stands out,the effects just gradually begin to take hold until they get as intense as they are going to get.I have a fun time just listening to music and wathever and after the effects begin to fade the little voice in my head begins to ask those damn questions, what if i am forever like this?what if this is all a big delusion?i basiclly loose all points of refrence in my life and it is frightening as hell...

I take it you are more of an ayahuasca kind of guy?

That's very interesting, because most people experience all of their fear and anxiety during the come up, when they are gradually being removed out of their sober state of consciousness, and then the come down is usually a time of rest and relaxation - the trials are over, and now it's time to reap the rewards, greater peace and understanding.
And I have actually never done ayahuasca either lol.

Ayahuasca is a great thing...it just feels right and it basically shows you things that need improving and what is wrong in your life... I can handle a trip pretty ok up until the end that is,i take the criticism that is brought to me from the position of an observer and try to see why it is happening.but in the end i just can't take it anymore and feel that i left everything behind and have trasnformed into something else...and that gives me the fear... Well,i see that little oice as a part of me,sure...but that is a part i could do better without,or at least if it was a little quieter...
