Now, quite honestly, I never was much of a believer in the whole "the right piece will choose you", "you'll know when you see it" thing... However, whilst out today browsing the camden headshops with my mates, my eye was drawn away from the shelves of 4 foot, neon green acrylic bongs and fake zippo lighters to the glass cabinets which housed the genuine glass pieces. While there were larger, more elaborate pieces lying around there (including a GIGANTIC sherlock with a bowl about the size of a plum ), I couldn't help but notice this one in particular. There was something about it I really liked... Its got a small amount of colour on the inside of the glass. Under warm sunlight the glass has a yellowish tinge, and under cool white light the whole thing turns almost blue. I also love how you can see the chamber running deep inside the glass and then widening into the mouthpiece. I could imagine staring at it for houuuurs after smoking a few bowlfuls from it While I'm mostly a joint smoker for convenience sake I really can't argue with the flavor and high you get from a pipe. http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/8812/photo0012k.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/905/photo0010h.jpg http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/376/photo0015a.jpg Any thoughts for a name?
This pipe really impresses me. Seeing the chamber really gives it a cool, thin look and reminds me a bone or a vein. I noticed the carb is in the back. I have a pipe with a back carb as well and usually prefer it to side carbs. Anyway nice piece, I would name it Osseous (o-see-ous) referring to the bone looking structure of it.
Sweet piece. I have no imput on the name, i have a hard enough time naming my own. Though it reminds me of a box of crayons. Or when you hold multiple crayons in your hand and color squiggles with them. Anyways, have a great time and enjoy.
Cheers dude. Yeah I noticed the 'back carb' and thought it was a bit odd. I guess it will take some getting used to because it feels a bit weird to hold right now. Do you tend to cover the carb with your thumb or a finger if its on the back? I love it! While its technically scientific I like the mythological sound it has as well (my mind's probably thinking 'odysseus' here :sifone... Also, I like the crayon description, Katie89 Its apparently 'colour changing' so I might post a pic or two once I start to see some change in it. Thanks guys
I hold the carb with my index finger. i couldn't imagine doing it with my thumb, at least with my piece
i really like it.. definitely a piece that deserves an epic name. i like the suggestion of odysseus, but i actually was thinking "lliad" sounded good with it, or even the word "epyllion", which means "little epic".. its a kind of epic poetry.
