Dude, I was just walking through my neighborhood when I saw a protest for animal rights. Curious, I asked a knowledged protester what it was for. She said it was for animal rights and how animals at this store were simply breeder in close quarter areas , with just enough food to survive. They had the proof so I stayed there for the rest of the day, protesting. After more research, I found that this is common amount many miscillaneous pet stores. Stop the hurt! Quote: A paranoid store owner saw a shaggy looking man steal a food item. He saw the man leave an as he left he started to divide the food among some homeless persons outside. Nevertheless, the furious store owner ran out of the store after him and was immediately ambushed by kauala bears.
We try to support the "best" pet store in town. There is a pet store that sells pups as "Breeds" but they do not have papers... The pups are typically sold for over $1000. Same with their kittens. They sometimes have shelter animals, but they are tucked into the back. We do not support that pet store. The one we use will not carry dogs and simply refers you to one of the local shelters. In the case of cats, they will only carry a few shelter cats. I realize they likely have a ton of other awful things they do... but we are purposely shopping at the place more in line with our morals and ethics.
consider what type of pet store you are talking about before protesting them. pet stores should not sell dogs and cats, as there are millions of homeless animals waiting in shelters to be adopted. every time someone 'buys' a breeder dog, they are essentially sending a shelter dog to its grave. there are good pet stores, though. the one that i shop at called 'zoo keeper' is owned by a guy that used to have his own tv show on exotics and has a rescue organization for exotics that haven't been properly cared for.
True. Selling of animals implying so-called "ownership" of animals, and selling them is just another way to make a quick buck. Near us there's a pet store that sells snakes, but the catch is that the snakes are kept in tubs as big as margerine tubs which gives them little to no space to move. I don't even have to state that it's just plain wrong. Animal shelters are completely another issue because they give a home for animals that were otherwise abused, and rehabilitation centres for animals are a good thing because nobody "owns" the animal, they are released in the wild again when they are well enough. Certainly. I have never seen a pet store that sells animals with adequate housing for them. Pet stores should sell pet food and toys. I can hardly believe there are stores that still have 'doggies in the window'. And there are. People don't THINK!
I went to a pet store today and they had this little puppy dog and I walked over to him and patted him on his head and he looked up at me and smiled.
That's something way different if you think about it. The cat was there because he wanted to be I guess, he wasn't there because he was being kept in a cage for the amusement of people. L_S
have you considered what type of snakes they are? some snakes prefer tight quarters during certain times or even all the time. have you ever owned a snake before? educate yourself before passing judgement. :cheers2:
I hate them, they keep the cats and dogs in horrible conditions. If you want to buy a pet, check out your local ASPCA, they walk the dogs alot and provide more space for them.
