Why didn't Michael Moore's documentry Fahrenheit 9/11 hurt Bush? Maybe it was because it made too many questionable claims? If so, I knew this was gonna happen. If this dcumentry was viewed as being in-accurate and bias, which I think even Moore admited, then I had a feeling that this movie would be counter-productive and would turn many voters off to Kerry. And it didn't help that Moore was hanging out at the Democratic convention. This gave the impression that the Democrats were endorsing Moore and his questionable movie. Had this movie contained straight facts that couldn't be countered, and if Michael Moore wasn't obviously being biased towards Bush, then that would have been a different story, and maybe Kerry would have done better with the voters who may have been turned off by Michael Moore and his particular Democratic crowd? Kerry promised to keep doing what Moore said was a war crime. Kerry didnt have the balls to attack Bxsh. Theyre all pals together. Its just bad cop , worse cop. Its not just me thinking that , even the right in Britain says it. But the political process is such a shame we have a "socialist " party in Britain backing a war criminal in Blair and Bxsh.
Michael Moore Uses US War Dead in Anti-Bush Message By Marc Morano CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer November 04, 2004 (CNSNews.com) - Following President Bush's re-election, which left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore fought as aggressively as anyone in Hollywood, Moore's website now uses the faces of America's war dead in Iraq to create a mosaic in the shape of the president's face. Late Thursday afternoon, Moore also included an email with the subject line reading, "My first thoughts about the election," but there was none of his customary Bush-bashing rhetoric, just the names of the 1,100 U.S. military personnel who have lost their lives in Iraq. Moore did conclude the email to his fellow liberals with a line referring to the troops. "May they rest in peace and may they forgive us someday." Subdued since Bush's victory on Tuesday, Moore spent the year before that on a crusade aimed at persuading Americans to turn out the president after one term. Moore's film, Fahrenheit 9/11 was hailed by critics of Bush's decision to invade Iraq and blasted by the president's supporters for being fictitious and unpatriotic. He showed up at the Republican National Convention in August to file reports for USA Today, but quickly had to move his operations off-site because he was constantly surrounded by other members of the media. The mosaic on Moore's website uses the faces of America's war dead in Iraq to create what looks like a framed photo of Bush. The heading reads: "The War President." The creator of an anti-Moore documentary, Michael Moore Hates America, told CNSNews.com that Moore was hurting the families of the servicemen and women killed in Iraq. "It's sort of an invasion of those families' lives for Michael Moore to hold them up as a political tool," said Mike Wilson, whose own film was recently released. Wilson said Moore should show some respect for the election results, but added that he doubts Moore will take his advice. "It's funny that Michael Moore is one of those guys who can't say 'I'm wrong. I was wrong,'" Wilson said. "When you lose, you need to be gracious in defeat," Wilson added. Moore had inserted himself so deeply in the just concluded presidential campaign that his silence now is shocking, according to Wilson. "[Moore] made so many predictions, he made so many promises. He called the election the 'end of the Bush regime.'" David Bossie, president of the conservative group, Citizens United, which produced the anti-Michael Moore film "Celsius 41.11" that challenged "the lies and propaganda of Fahrenheit 9/11," told CNSNews.com that the mosaic on Moore's website was "tasteless." And on Wednesday, Bossie thanked Moore for his help in re-electing Bush. "I'd like to extend a thank you to Michael Moore, George Soros, MoveOn.org and the Hollywood left. These left-wingers and groups that made up the 'Anybody but Bush' movement tried every trick in the book to energize voters with their anger and venom, painting the picture of a divided and pessimistic America," Bossie said. "We should all be grateful to these liberal extremist groups for helping elect George W. Bush to protect our nation another four years," he added.
Motion, there are plenty of dissenters in the United States besides Michael Moore. Progressive activism has risen to a level unheard of since the 60s. Now that Bush has taken office again, expect further radicalization of the progressive wing of the population to continue.
Well hopefully the next dissenter to make a movie about Bush will make sure it's air-tight with accuracy.
That had to be the worst so called documentary I have ever wasted my time watching. It was almost as pathetic as the rest of his films. Maybe he should try making films about the truth instead of complete satire.
I'll be willing to bet Moore is at home, so depressed that he is going to eat himself to death. Can't you just picture moore laying in bed with a bucket of chicken in one hand and a tub of ice cream in the other, " why god, why" Keep an eye on the news, the crane will be called in soon to remove moores dead, fat, bloated body from his home, allbeit they are going to have to cut the side of his house off to get him out. The fat rat bastard that he is
Ha, again another ignoramus bashing moore because of his weight and not his beliefs. I have challenged many moore-haters to present legit evidence of his lies without going to one of those farces we call anti-moore websites. Go around and try to find out why people say his movie is a big lie. You will have a hard time, because it's not. In my opinion, moore didn't go far enough in his documentary. Peace and Love, Dan
Agreed. He certainly didn't go far enough, however it was plenty enough for the average American who isn't politically savvy. People like "nohelmetlaws" and "northernlehigh" (with the appropriate donkey) are the sad result of centuries of elitist conditioning. They're the types who'd say the American Indians deserved the genocide they received. Ignore them, they're an embarrassment. As for Moore's film (not his body-weight), all the facts presented are indeed accurate (they can be reseached as well). Although I do agree that the satire took away from the seriousness, but then again, the man is a comedian.
Yep, I have asked countless people to provide real and accurate sites explaining the lies of michael moore...not to just like me to www.moorewatch.com. That is like going to FOX news to find pro-war sources. None of them have replied... Peace and Love, Dan
Michael Moore is not even worth discussion. The guy is a complete joke, even for those fucking pathetic, bleeding heart liberal idiots that so adore his Whopper-loving, blubbery, money-grubbing ass. If Moore didn't win people over, it's because he catered only to the braindead side of American politics by producing an overtly leftist polemic that did nothing more than bash Bush for the retard he is, versus something that would actually educate and enlighten people. It's all about money. Simple as that. Michael Moron could care less who won the election, because he will always be further up on the food chain than us "idiots" are. And that can be interpreted in more ways than one. Being the so-called "conspiracy theorist" I am, I believe the elites will use Moore to their advantage in the near future by ordering him to eat all "sickly" Americans under 200 lbs, who don't stand a chance of dying from heart disease due to their underconsumption of McDonalds and Hungry Man dinners.
Fahrenhype 911, watch it, or are you afraid that it might ruin your opinion of your great big fat liberal commie whore.
Funny how no conservatives want to put up with liberals they don't like, but are scratching their heads when us liberals don't seem to want to put up with Bush. We are not so different.
Yeah seriously Sera Michele, there are good conservatives and right wingers out there, but I have to say the ones on this site make me wanna puke. Peace and Love, Dan
I'm watching that tomorrow, actually. Yep, they're disgusting. They're the anti-patriots. They spit on anyone who tries to educate the masses of the wrong doings of our government. For some reason, they believe that you should always follow the government blindly and never question their policies. "Always love your country, but only love your government when it deserves it."
Typical narrow-minded bullshit in here...... If you don't like Bush or support war for whatever the reason and you dare say anything aboiut it then you hate america and you're a "commie whore", blah, blah, blah....... While I completely disagree with Moore's opinion on gun control alot of what was said in Fahrenheit 9/11 was right. It was right regardless of who said it. ....and someone please tell me why Fahrenheit 9/11 is all lies but Fahrenhype 9/11 is the truth........ The Right-Wing likes to bitch about gun control but what about the erosion of the right to be secure in our property under the patriot act? If you are suspected "terrorist" then they can raid your home and property and take anything, including you and hold them indefinately. The right to bare arms and the right to be secure in all property and effects are both constitutional rights. These are among the things that are suppose to be great about this country....when you remove one you might as well remove them all and we might as well live in China. I hear GitMo is beautiful this time of year.......
yeah I don't agree with Moore's Gun message at all either, I trust me neighbor with guns just as much if not more than I trust the Federal Government with them... Peace and Love, Dan
