Where I'm from, we don't go to parks to camp - else we may expect to incur fees for park maintenance.

    I currently live in Ottawa.
    Very boring city, very conservative.

I would say yes Toronto is a very busy/lots of things to do type city, but I would never live there just because of how smoggy and dirty the city is.

Montreal is a wonderful big city, with many things to do and the air is so fresh:) I love visiting there the most.

In a week I will be setting up temporary residence North of North Bay. In Nov or so our family will be moving to Ottawa.

And whoever said Ottawa was a conservative city, I must politely disagree. I've been living in Alberta for three years now and I do not feel that Ottawa is even close to being as conservative as here. I hate Alberta. (except for the bits that start turning into mountains... I like that part. ;))

This. But substitute North Bay with Barrie-ish.
I'm getting sick of the 'brown'. Seriously, everything here is just shades of beige - grass, trees, dust, Miles and miles of beige. Even the turning leaves are all the same yellowy-beige.

The drive through northern Ontario is the bitchiest part of the trip but it's gonna be freakn' lovely to look at.
