I got off as well as I could have no doubt. I was very surprised when a spotlight rocked my world but I was impressed at how levelheaded I was. I told them I was smoking and gave up my pipe. (I had well hidden hard drugs they never found). I got away with a possession ticket. Court date is in three weeks. They told me if I narced I would get off with nothing. Well I won't do that. The other thing is that my family doesn't know about my drug use and I'm on good enough terms with them I'd rather they didn't know. So what can I expect? Any good advice?
Sounds like the same shit that happened to me except you aren't a minor and they only gave me and my friends verbal warnings. I'd just expect a fine, but I don't know too much about the law. But yeah those spotlights are god-like, I had 2 on me >.<
Because I had three well hidden rolls I didn't want them to know about and three "special chocolates" (shrooms) that were probably a little suspicious (both cops had them in their hands and gave them back ). I just figured if I give up my pipe which they would have found when they searched my car (they knew I was high) I would get off easy for being cooperative. Rule of thumb: when you know you're screwed - be honest. The cops respect honesty.
True, might as well not piss off the cop by obviously lying if your car reeks of chronic and your eyes are cashed
