I woke up bright & early to get the family ready for a day trip to the city to do our annual summer shopping spree. It was a beautiful day for a drive over the Monashee mountains; saw an eagle and a couple of hawks on the way there and a cute grey bunny on the way home.
I was not looking forward to shopping for a bathing suit for my "well developed" 13 year old daughter, but we managed to find one that we both liked right away. I got brave and bought a bikini for myself. Eeek! I hope I'm brave enough to wear it. Then we went to Value Village to load up on summer clothes for my kiddo. I scored a pair of Doc Martens for $15! Helluva deal. We also bought a new tent and some enamel camping pots and dishes so we can go camping soon.
When we finally go home, I took my puppy for a walk, visited a friend and watered my garden. Now, I'm drinking some iced tea and relaxing after a long but good day.

 

Just finished a shitty all-night shift and im lying in bed doing my internets.

 

Good luck Mandy! Sounds like you had a really good day BCmama! I'm currently laid up in bed again with a bad shin but I spent the morning training my puppy to stay on his bed when he's told. He amazes me, he looks downright gormless all the time but he picks up commands so easily. The only thing that really bothers me now is when he sees another dog, all the hair on his back stands on end. I'm not sure whether it's aggression because he's pretty friendly with them after a sniff. *shrug*

I got a job yesterday, working in a deli! Happy that it's a job at least.

nope that fell through so yes, I took my dreads out for nought I'm an idiot. but I have no regrets!

almost had a panic attack on the way to work today b/c my man has got me freaked out about our food stamps. he thinks that someone with social services messed up our information and they're going to decrease our stamps. someone is delivering a valium to me hopefully soon! i don't like pharmaceuticals, but it's better than having a panic attack. i want some of that thai food mandy is eating.

I've been at work since 8am killing time on the interwebz, got off work at 7, got some food... now I'm about to watch some anime and relax a while.

 

I know this is going to sound weird, but did the sun set in the wrong area of the sky where you're at? It looks like it's too far north, and definitely not setting in the same place it did yesterday...
