Okay, I'm sure any Nvidia junkies out there know about their CUDA supercomputing desktops. also the CUDA folding at home stuff. now, I dunno what OS those run, I would tent to believe they run x86 OS's but, right now I'm just too lazy to google it, and I'm interested to see what you guys think about this is CUDA going to replace PPC as the new alternative to X86? now that max is on X86 for the most part anyway, and CUDA tech prices are falling. I mean, mac prices are still high enough that it makes CUDA prices seem sane, and if CUDA comps get their own special OS's, then. we could see a new special set of camps, more diversity, and a better state for virus durability. thoughts? theories? Anyone just see the specs on a fully tricked out CUDA machine and get lightheaded giddy?
CUDA is a successful sub-architecture. It is not comparable to the PPC arch though. Mac discontinued the PPC arch years ago. It's like comparing modern linux command line to the DOS 6.2 command line. I'm not sure what you mean by virus durability. I think we will see more remote client machines tho.
