I know exactly what you mean. I broke my leg in 5th grade and I was in casts for around 11 weeks... It fucking sucks. And I was bitching about getting a job, then when everybody else did I quit since after a year more people come and make it even harder. fuck it.

adding salt to water makes it take longer to boil

salt water boils at a higher temp b/c of the interactions btwn the water molecules and the salt ions

so add salt after it starts boiling, but be careful. apparently, if you add salt to almost boiling water it can cause it to boil violently by providing nucleation sites for the bubbles
