Ok, so panera bread seems like a good place to work, however, my system is not clean, and its likely to remain that way for at least two more weeks, and I really don't want to wait that long. Through googling I've found that corporate panara restaurants to not test, however franchises possibly can. My question is how can I tell if one is a franchise or not? Theres 3 paneras near me, two of them are in very busy suburban areas where theres many other places like red robin and barns and noble (im not sure if thats a sign that its corporate or not).
I dunno anything about panera bread's policies and whatnot, but good luck getting the job! I love that place The food is so good! The one my boyfriend's aunt worked at let her take home sacks full of as much baked goods she wanted every night, and another panera's donated a bunch of the leftover baked goods every weekend to the group rehabilitation home my mom worked at. They're a good company!
You can try looking it up but it's hard, panera is one of those hit or miss places, drug testing changes from store to store. Your only best bet to find someone who works at that one and ask them
As someone who works in the industry I can tell you that they have to tell you what is the policy. My suggestion would be to call, not during busy hours like lunch and ask for a manager. Then I would ask that manager, "If I were to apply at your store what is the policy of drug testing?" They have to answer you it's the law. You don't have to identify yourself. Again, it would be against the law for him to ask that question. It all boils down to the truth in hiring laws. No reason to get paranoid, just ask.
Shit man, I definitely didn't think of that. Thanks for the idea. I think I might get a friend to call (to be extra safe) then I'll apply in like a week, hopefully they wont make the connection, lol.
i work there, its not bad, ive been there two years and never been tested. like 75% of the people i work with there smoke
Ok, yeah, I had someone call them, they don't. I'm gonna wait till tommorow to apply, since I don't want them to make the connection. It would be awesom if the manager was stoner though. I always have that hope in the back of my mind, but so far thats never been the case.
I know several stoner Panera managers actually, and a lot of other stoner employees. They're not gonna make the connection and if they do they still can't do much about it.
