Friend bailed on seeing a festie

So i find out today my friend says she can no longer go to the festival with me right after i take off work to go this weekend. God damn this makes me so frustrated cause i dont wanna go alone nor do i want to waste the days off and just lounge around the house.

So anyone go to festies alone, do you still have alot of fun or is not as great?


O and if someone around the columbus area wants to go to nelsons ledges for classic fest this weekend i can give ya a lift.

I went to Les Claypool alone and had a great time! For some reason nobody wanted to go! If I were there id go! I mean why would u NOT want to go to a festie?! That just doesnt make sense!!! Bring some ganja and find some people to smoke out

 

damn dude i cant believe you couldnt find anyone to see claypool, he is fucking amazing live.

But found someone to go with me, hopefully he doesnt bail too if not i guess im going solo.

 

Go it alone dude.. i've gone to shows and festies by myself.. you'll make Festie friends.. and you will see them year after year.. festival after festival after that.. then you're never alone.. just bum around.. bring some ganja so you have an "ice breaker"

ps.. travel light.. only bring a backpack and maybe a ground mat.. this way you dont have to worry about your tent/stuff.. and it gives you reason to ask girls if you can sleep in their tent

personally i would pack:
1 change of clothes(in case something happens to the clothes you're wearing)
TP
flashlight/headlamp
small snacks
nalgene or some sort of water bottle
flask or two.. fill with booze..(trade off shots for beers or bowls for beers, that way you dont have to bring beer with you)

 

ive been to several festivals big and small

last year at all good i went with friends, but i spent much of my time roaming the festival by myself. it was nice to have a home base though, with people i knew. but i had the best time of my life, and found more love at that festival than i have seen at any of the others.

id encourage you to go, especially if you are outgoing and dont mind jamming/raging it by yourself and meeting tons of new people...its fun, festivals have such a unique vibe that everyone becomes family!

the one festie im goin to so far this year.. im heading there by myself.. but will be camping with fellow festie fam that i have met/camped with at festivals in the past

Some of the most fun I've had at festies has been solo. You get to meet so many awesome people that you might not meet if you are with group. You also get to see exactly what you want and not have to worry about keeping a group happy. Go solo; especially at the ledges.

 

Aww that sucks... Makes me wish I was going now, so I could keep ya company.. I gotta work though.
I'm sure you'll have a great time anyway.. get fucked up and just meet some new people

 

well i got back from the festival a little while ago and you guys were right that going solo was still fun. Although would have been nice to have some of my friends come.
