I am an active activist as well as have been to most of the major canadian protests in the past 7 years, me and my wife were in Ottawa when Bush Came to canada a few years back, we went to Marc emorys protest as well as kyle sneiders deportation protest,I right my local mp many letters, sometimes 2 to 3 a montha and am currently passing around a petition to stop bill C-15 as well as bill C-151, so sorry but your assumption was wrong and my slogan of Fuck The Government has been earned, I have been beaten by billy clubs, tasered and gassed, if we had a good government such acts of violence never would have occured. I do my taxes and vote, but sadly canada is still owned by the conservative pricks.
^ :cheers2: I think that's awesome. So many times I hear people say fuck the gov and they just sit at home and do not do anything to change it and other times there are peeps like you!
I am pretty politically minded, yet I refuse to label myself with a D or an R. I voted for Nader in 2000, and I don't regret that decision, even after the last eight years of hell. I don't understand how we can live in a country where there are 2000 different kinds of potato chips and only 2 viable political parties. I agree that the spectrum is more of a circle than a line, as I have more in common with libertarians than 'blue dog' Democrats. I'd say my family is staunchly Republican, but only because they are greedy and racist. I'm not anti-technology, but I'd much rather see Small community farms than multinational agricultural conglomerates like Monsanto. I believe in civil liberties, and I'm extremely liberal when it comes to social issues. To each, their own. If you're gay and you want to marry, have at it. If you want an abortion, I might not agree, but you should have that right, and it should be done safely. I believe we'd all prosper if we didn't have to fight to eat. I believe in fiscal responsibility, but I hate the fact that the government finds it necessary to spend taxpayer money on more bombs, and NASCAR sponsorship. France has almost 300 nukes, and they are second in the world to us. We have over 11,000. Did you know that one Stealth Bomber would pay to remove homelessness in this country completely? So, I guess it depends on the issue. But, I do love Obama, if only because he isn't another rich white guy.
Me= Libertarian (bordering on anarchist) All governments, Politicians, bureaucrats et all are liers and theives. If the government tells you that it is doing something for the people grab you ass, cuz the truth is they never do anything for the people with out stealing most of the funds. Stop complying Peace Dan
:cheers2: My brother just joined the Navy, Makes me sad as hell but he's my bro and i love him no matter what.
sounds fuckin horrible man, Being a canadian knowing that america has enough nukes to fuck the earth 3 times over makes me a mighty paranoid neighour
I think we've taken very different paths but this is more or less where I am. Add to that the unholy alliance of government and corporation that looks at regular people like livestock.
Im just a humanist. I live day to day and base my political opinions from what I see and hear from REAL people and not politicians. Therefore my opinions change as much as my heart does. I wouldnt say Im liberal, democratic, republican, conservative, independant, or any other lame ass political divider label there is out there.
I'm South Park Libertarian monday to friday, although my fantasy political system would be an agrarian theocracy, although pol pot did a pretty good job of spoiling it for the rest of us.
I'm conservative. I don't like the idea that the rich should take care of the poor. Hence why I vote conservative
My father was a closet libertarian, I'm full blown. There is not one thing the government has done ever that promised one thing and delivered another. Pure Hegelian dialectic, PROBLEM REACTION SOLUTION First the government creates a problem Then the public reacts, and demands a solution then implant the solution (the solution is what the powers that be wanted in the first place) CREATE THE PROBLEN ANTICIPATE THE RESPONCE EXPLOIT THE SOLUTION Gorge Soros recently said that he is having a real good crisis when asked how his billions were doing in the current economic down turn. I guess he is a initiate in the Hegelian dialectic along with all politicians and "world leaders" Peace Dan
why a theocracy? and pol pot didn't run a theocracy at all. more like agrarian communism. iggy:iggy:iggy:
i'm an anarchist... i actively avoid taking part in supporting any government, whoch is hard in Aust cause you get fined for not voting (not much though ) The two Australian parties are so similar that i can say 'i'm labour' (democrat i guess?) and have the exact same beliefs as being liberal. The only 'real' party in Australia are the greens, and they vote for Labour anyway! So yeah, pretty much anarcho-primitivist.
I don't give 2 poops about government, politics, labels, being with or against anything. And even that will give people a reason to flip out over. Government will always be the way it is in my mind. Why waste your life worrying. Many people just complain and want their government to fix their problems for them.
