Does anyone have any well written memoirs to recommend to me? Some that I've read that I have really enjoyed: Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, Catcher In The Rye, Looking For Alaska, Perks Of Being A Wallflower, and a lot of Hunter S. Thompson's shiet. I'm not sure if all those are considered to be memoirs, but if you've read the stuff that I've listed I'm sure you'll understand my feel, so yeah i'd really appreciate it if anyone could help me out :)

So I'm assuming it can be fictional memoirs? In that case... anything by Jack Kerouac. Not fake and absolutely fabulous!

(How can anyone read Catcher in the Rye? I've done it 5 times and don't dig it... what a douche)

Have you read Henry Miller, it´s a mixture between fictional and non fictional memoirs, and is very, very good. I´ve read Sexus and Tropic of Cancer. He won the Nobel. It has lots of sex, and crazy stuff, He inspired the beat generation a lot, but he is much better than them, at least i think so. In my opnion Sexus is better than Tropic of cancer, but both are awesome.

people have said shit about it and apparently parts have been fabricated but 'a million little pieces' by James Frey was really good. Larry Kings book 'anything goes' was also good. Peace
