Haha, seriously, it smells like cologne that should be worn with cowboy boots and a cowboy hats. I bought it in a little box at Earthbound because they didn't have any baggies out for the incense that wasn't prepackaged. It's weird, if Ron White smelled like anything in particular, this right here would be it. It's so funny and if you smelled it, you'd totally know what I was talking about. It doesn't smell like patchouli at all!

I hate the smell of patchouli. My dad used to wear it as a kind of cologne when I was younger.

The best patchouli oil is produced by Frontier Herbs out of Iowa - the second best would likely be the Aura Cacia brand.....i've always trusted Frontier products in my incense making :)

I bought some patchitouli essential oil for my candles and I threw the oil and candles away because the smell made me vomit so much i thoguth I was pregnant.
I smelled a smell at the dead show I really liked, but it was more earthy and masculine (but not sandalwood). Do you think it could have been nag champa I was smelling? What does that smell like?

I have some Patchouli soap. I like the smell of it, and it makes my skin oh so soft!

But when it comes to incense, I like Sandalwood or Nag Champa.

Although we haven't burned any incense in like, forever. My kids have allergies and start coughing like heck if you light any incense, sooo...

That might be nag champa...I'm not sure, I've had so many different kinds of incense in the past few years, lol. But what about Indian sandalwood? That smells slightly different than sandalwood.

Yeah, it probably was nag champa - it's got a naturally earthy smell because of the base ingredients of the sticks

patchouli , sandalwood and nag champa are scents I can only handle in very very tiny increments.Just to strong of a scent. Especially nag champa that is completely overwhelming for me, makes me feel sick.
I agree about real patchouli smelling MUCH better than the fake stuff. A friend bought me some homemade soap with bits of patchouli in it- it smells so nice, really thought I would hate it because I am used, and hate to the fake smell.
