Ther's been many threads in the past about how we first learned about masturbation, but if you were given your time over again, would you be happy about the way you learned, or would you choose some other way? This is a problem that society has not found a good answer to. The fact seems to be that all young men need to learn how to masturbate, and some will on their own, but the majority still need to be "taught". Several years ago, Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders was hounded from her office because she dare to suggest that young people should be taught "about masturbation". The self-righteous religious right had a real fit, because she had exposed their dirty little secret, that all males and probably most females DID masturbate. Some young males are lucky enough to have a "mentor" older brother, or other friend, who will demonstrate masturbation to him in a non-threatening situation. But today, such "mentors" are putting themselves at risk of being accused of "indecent behavior", so we are no nearer to solving this problem as a society than we were fifty years. In my own case, I learned from an older cousin, who had learned from other boys at his school.
