How true. I know plenty of people who are strongly attracted to people of different racial/ethnic backgrounds than themselves for negative rather than positive reasons. They play on old racial stereotypes by doing so. Playing on stereotypes is MY definition of bias, whether of a racial, religious, political, gender or sexual nature.

In the UK there seem to be quite a few East European girls who openly prefer black men, and I've met a number of men who prefer black women. Older white men and Oriental women too are common. Overall apparently 1 in 10 relationships in the Uk are interracial.

For me there are some black women whom I've found attractive and have had sex with two of them, some Indian women, but generally Oriental women are not for me.

I wish we didn't even have to use the term "interracial." I don't see what the big deal is. I hate the racial lines. It's something I don't even think about when it comes to sex/relationships.

 

it's not a big deal. but the fact is, different races do exist. it's just part of the overall variation in human beings. to say that you prefer having sex with a certain race doesn't mean that you subjugate them and put them down. it's just a preference.

personally, i've never had sex with a black man, but i would love to. i'm blonde with fair skin, and the idea of having a beautiful black body on top of me is very sexy.

 

But it is a big deal to some people (obviously not for everyone). And I understand WHY it can be a big deal. I'm just saying I wish it didn't have to be a big deal to anyone. For example, a lot of people will look at a black and white couple and stare them down like they came out of bizzarro world or something. A lot of mixed children get hell from other kids at school just because they're mixed, etc. It's just lame. I just wish we could all get past race. But obviously that's too much to ask.
