An argument to boycott Tesco here:
    http://www.tescopoly.org/

Monopolies are never good for a fair economy or a fair society.

Tesco, basically the UKs version of Walmart.Unfortunately asking people to boycott a company over the internet is useless and a waste of time.I'm not criticizing you or your thread, just pointing out a fact. This really applies to everyone.---Ever since the internet got very popular, there are more corrupt businesses than ever. The reason:people complain on the net,as opposed to taking 'real' action.--In my neighborhood we just prevented a Walmart from being built,we all got together and said to Walmart- No way will you even attempt to put any stores here, and to make a long story short--they ran away.We did not waste anytime on the net.

Well done. Seriously. Fair fucking play that.

But I'm not wasting time on the net, I'm asking for contribution and discussion about Tesco's monopoly. I'm not thinking I'm going to stop Tesco with a post on a fucking hippy forum.

Also Britain is a very apathetic country. We do not unite under any real cause, and even if most people agree with the principal of something, we wouldn't collectively do something about it. They go down the pub and moan about it with the rest of the depressing idiots.

The US has become a very apathetic country too.People tend to do the same things you mentioned, they complain about things but don't do anything about it.-----As far as Tesco being a monopoly,I agree,in many ways it is becoming one, similair to Walmart in the states.---There really is nothing good about these stores.---It would be nice if the governments of the UK and US started to crack down on these companies, and others too.The gov. is the only outfit that has the muscle or power if you will, to take on these giants.Monopolies are against the law in the US,and I'm sure it's the same or similair in the UK.---I'm fortunate in that I reside in a part of the US that does not have many Walmarts and so on.--We manage great without them.
