My favorite Hendrix song is 'Burning of the Midnight Lamp'. I got to see that performed live on his birthday up here and I tell you that words can't express how good it was. [IMG]

Actually, it was billed as an orchestration of Jimi's music, but it was a small group of revolving performers. It was perfomed once before in New York, this was on the occasion of his b-day. One of the performers was Vernon Reed. He did Red House. There was a lady singer, for example, that did "Are you experienced" Bongo players, a hip hop kinda national anthem, all kinda of groovy stuff. Did that "I would a Merman be" (or exactly how is that worded?). It is amazing how good (and radical) his music sounds live..... Also, living in Seattle, performers have a tendency to do a Hendrix song in tribute. Another sneaky way to hear Jimi's music live.

I really doubt I'm any different from then except now I am better at guitar and I can't stand punk music anymore.

I never really did like "punk"... unless it's the stuff Neil did in Rust Never Sleeps.

    Thank ya :)

I don't see how I ever lived thru that stage of my life....I attempted listening to my Tsunami Bomb cd not too long ago and I almost died. Horrible, horrible music.
