well i'm not really curious what it means, but it's weirdly interesting so i thought i'll share it. about a month ago i dreamed that i was executed. with a hatchet/battle-axe kind of thing. it was really weird, i was chased for some reason, and i was even made to write my own will. and then they cut my head off. the weird thing in it was that i saw myself as I was someone else. like, i was watching myself, and then i was myself and then i was watching myself again. that's all i wanted to say anybody else experienced dying in their own dream?
Are you hard on yourself sometimes? Do you set high goals and get angry at yourself if you don't fulfill them? Does the executioner describe any part of yourself, maybe your mind is trying to draw attention to a self-destructive thought pattern. I have never died in my dreams before, although I have been shot several times and pretended I was dead so the shooter would go away.
Just a week ago I was killed in my dream. I do not know what that means but im still o.k in my real life so show must go on.
Had you really experienced dying or did "you pull back" and see death from another perspective? some say you can onley dream things that your brain has experenced... I-ZOMBIE 'I'm 10% artificial and 90% pharmaceutical.''
If that's true, then how do people fly or teleport in their dreams? I've been shot in my dreams, but never shot in real life. Although I didn't feel pain in the dream.
DRock, I agree with that too.. by the way, thank you for your interpretation of my dream what you wrote is totally true.. I am hard on myself, I set high goals (i'm a maximalist, so to speak..) and if I don't manage to fulfill them I get angry or disappointed. I don't exactly remember how my executioner looked like, so I don't know if it means anything. and most od the time I can't remember my dreams when I wake up. I know I've been dreaming about something but I don't know what. I try to recall parts of the dream but it doesn't help. I tried out this trick: When I'm not asleep yet, but almost (i guess this state goes by the name of borderline sleep?) I tell myself that I want to wake up after each dream and remember my dreams. I started yesterday it didn't work yet. Do you think it could work? I-ZOMBIE: As I said, in my dream I was seeing myself and then switched back to being myself and then i watched myself again. So when "I" died, it was as if "I" was somebody else, but I was me too. So it was like there were two of me in the dream or something, I can't really explain it.
Self hypnosis while falling asleep does work for some people. I think if you kept at it, you will improve in your dream recall. Another thing that helps you go lucid is reality checks. During the day, every 30 minutes to an hour, say to yourself "Is this a dream? Is this real? Am I dreaming right now?" After doing that so much and being in that habit, eventually you should say this in a dream and realize you are dreaming, thus being lucid and controlling your dream. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
