backing up whispers... get back on. As for cravings, I usually seek someting I love but isn't the craving itself, because some replacements really are off the mark.

if u're craving cheese, it may help to have something salty. Try nutritional yeast, put it on pasta or rice or as a general replacement for cheese :)

keep up the good work :)

Veganism is definitely not about perfection, so don't beat yourself up too much. For me, I've found that avocado or mac and chreese (or both) usually take care of any craving. Also, I've found that my most common craving isn't for cheese (or meat, for that matter), but simply for something fatty. So I just eat something fatty, and I'm fine.

we all have cravings. its how we handle them and about not beating ourselves up before/during/afterwards.

Maybe my dilemma will help you look on the bright side: I'm not a vegan by choice, but simply a lactose intolerant vegetarian, so when I give into my dairy cravings (which I do sometimes), I'm rewarded with severe stomach pains, indigestion, bloating and constipation. Yay!

i used to crave cheese a lot when first stopping it, i found having some fatty food helped a lot, like yummy fried stuff mmmmmmm ! now i want some fried food, yummy vegan laksa with fried mushrooms and batter ball things mmm

I heard cheese has something some chemical? in it that makes people feel good - and is hard to stop also for this reason...anyone know more about that?

I haven't heard of that clawsy

I try to be vegan and I know that when I do give in and have a piece of pizza or macaroni and cheese I'll get an upset stomach, but I don't beat myself up about it. Just try to remember that you're doing a great deal of help for these animals!

u say about eating summin fatty, i had a a sandwhich the otherday, with vegan bacon vegan sausage fried tomatoes fried mushrooms beans and brown sauce, fried in olive oil, it was well fatty, but really really nice, depends if u like eating crap liek that though i guess. im all for organic butternut squash and sunflower seed type meals, but sometimes that just dosnt cut it. oh yeah, if ya from england, try and get some frys spiced burgers, and the new cheezly melting stuff, the burgers are sooo nice and that new melting cheese is well good on it, i had mozzerella style on it and u wouldnt know the diffrence, u would if u eat it on its own, but even then its pretty nice as opposed to normal cheezly and other vegan cheese for that matter which is a bit rank, oh yeah also, try toffuti cream cheese, its pretty cheap for a big tub and u get diffrent flavours liek garlic n herb n stuff, you could give it to a non vegan and they wouldnt know the diffrence, its diffrent from philidelphia but its just as good, i promise
