obviously. i didnt say you were wrong about people's skin changing. but you aren't correct in what you are claiming either. you have the idea right, but you need to get your facts straight.

maybe we could have a discussion if you could act a bit more humble in your quest for knowledge. you have a few years of schoolin and you're waving it around as if you are the only one that has been to a college. believe it or not, there are others in this thread who know more than you on the subject.

and yea im a dick. i already knew that. thanks.:piggy:

    fair enough.
what facts do i have bent?
i really dont see what other factors i have misconstrued.
i'm open to whatever reasoning you want to present.

for fucks sake kid I'm a bitch and self-righteous because I disagree with what your saying? Sorry I didn't bow down and respect your expertise of 4 years in some Wisconsin college. besides, your "pretty accepted facts" were given without a bit of back-up, which makes them your opinion, not facts. I went to college too, you know.
    Get over yourself.

"When my ancestors moved into Europe (I am a white
European by descent) about 100,000 years ago, they quickly evolved
a set of physiological features to suit the sunless climate of northern
latitudes: pale skin to prevent rickets, male beards, and a circulation
    relatively resistant to frostbite."(Ridley 10)

Skin got whiter from the african peeps. We can't test corey's theory because it would take 100's of 1000's of years to get the expirement rolling. And by that time we would have got bored of the arguement. End of discussion.

Ridley, Matt. The Red Queen. 1st Perennial ed. London: HarperCollins, HarperCollins. Digital.

The Red Queen is a book by the chairman of the International Centre for Life in Newcastle, England, Matt Ridley. Like his other works it is about genes, evolution, but specifically the development of sex.

ahaha pretty much. "some Wisconsin college" LOL. yeah, cuz Wisconsin isnt a top 10 education state? oh right, its not. its a top 5 education state. good try on belittling that though. [do i need to present citation and evidence for this too?] just incase : http://forwardwisconsin.com/sub88/Statistics-and-Facts-About-Wisconsins-Great-Schools

this has nothing to do with going to college. i didnt use that as credibility in this thread. it was an accusation brought up by others. sorry, thats not in my control. dont pretend like i pulled a bitch move there because it is simply not the case.

color of skin being determined by type of melanin and amount of melanin you possess is a common fact. common facts can be presented without citation or information to back them up because they are expected to be understood to begin with, college lady. it is not an opinion.

however, my theory may or may not need evidence to back itself up.
certainly this topic has been discussed by scientists and the like a dozen times over. it appears that the majority would agree with my theory, even though there is no "evidence." the true evidence here is the people of today. you dont need examplitory families that moved to different countries and such just to prove this basic theory. thats a bit unreasonable. if you could find a theory that suggests that skin DOES NOT adapt to condition of the sun in an environment, then evidence would have to be presented considering there would be two possibilities. for now there is just one being upheld. therefore it is assumed that the first instance is correct.

The second theory being that god made us different colors so we could fight each other.

Btw, a website link is not a citation. I hope wisconsin doesn't count that as a citation or else it deserves to be the shitty education state.

    Quoted from Corey:
    "its undisputable to normal people"
"even though there is no "evidence."

Sooo....its a common, indisputable fact with no evidence to back it up?
I personally like facts & evidence as proof in a debate.

I have a theory that thunder is caused by the gods bowling and that fairies live in the bottom of my garden. my theories may or may not need evidence to back themselves up.
    :smilielol5:
this is the dumbest thing I have heard so far today, thanks. Why would the majority of scientists agree with a theory without any evidence? Seems like they would do the opposite.

Faeries live in my garden too! But they sneak in my house and steal the pictures that I take as evidence. :D Its okay though, cause its a widely accepted fact that faeries are real, so I don't need any scientific evidence.

MLA and APA format includes website sources. Why cant I use a website? Even if this was more formal than a forum, I'd still have satisfactory citation.

selective quotation does not change the fact of the matter.

the first quote is referring to melanin being the cause of differences in skin color of peoples.

the second quote is referring to a theory that almost has no way of proving itself with evidence. this is because the evidence required would take hundreds of years to collect. however, the theory is generally accepted because of the first factor being true. melanin clearly adapts overtime. variance in skin color didnt just exist forever.

complimenting on an accusation of stupidity is cute.

    see my explaination to bcmama.
the evidence is nearly impossible to collect considering there arent enough records.

Do you have anything original to add to this two thousand year old argument Corey, or are you satisfied regurgitating what someone else told you to believe? I'm so sick of all these automatons acting like they are so smart because they find 'evidence' of whatever ridiculous belief they cling to at the moment. I find it interesting that you avoid answering any of the questions that I've asked. Can't find the 'facts' to make an argument against? Go back to school, college boy.

We're not even discussing the original arguement that was not brought up by me anymore.

Noone told me to believe what I believe. It was a choice. I didnt get flash cards I had to answer or some shit like that. I'm not a robot.

I havent avoided any of your questions. What are you smoking? I've answered all of them.

If not, point them out and I promise i'll answer.

I may have missed yours among the flock of people attacking my faith earlier in this thread.
