I dont have a habit of killing animals, unless its a bug that gets in my personal space. like a roach or fly and theyre just dirty and annoying. I did kill it, but it was for its own good. I dont feel bad now, but I dont like to watch a living breathing thing that Ive fed and cared for die. it was a good fishy. Its like asking me to kill a bunny. or a chicken. HHB, I know you're used to killing an animal for food, thats different, but Im not. and it wasnt food. Still,
aww that is sad. one of my fish died the other week, i think he was being bullied. all his fins were torn and he was acting odd for days. i put him in a little tank on his own, but he died. i was sad too, i hate seeing animals die, i get to attatched straight away. my boyfriend always gets rid of them, i hate disposing of bodies, so tedious.
Well, It's different with people. I dont much care for humans. I have a weakness for animals. and baby anything.
Yes, I'm partial to more humans than other animals myself... for obvious reasons. I'd better not take one step from this spot then in case I kill an ant... oh wait... I'd better not BREATHE because my body will surely be killing parasites my body takes in... I mean come on man. You're getting defensive about compassion, one of the finest, most humbling traits we can possibly possess. Let people think as they will instead of trying to prove yourself more sensical than them. She's allowed to have felt bad! I certainly would! I'm sure she's with me when I say that everyday I try to consciously avoid causing others harm (and by others I don't only mean our species), and in her case, if that meant the harm is staying alive, then she had a reason to do what she did. She felt bad about it, of course... Loss is never an easy thing. I only wish more humans in our society would become more aware of the Great connection we have with every other living thing on this planet. People that see the world in black and white have to get with the times.
i'm the same, i can love and care for animals straight away. it takes me a long time to care about a person to any extent and i rarely love people.
lol, i aint getting defensive, im stating how absurd i feel selective compassion is. nothing more. i could care less if thats the way you choose to go through life, gives me something to laugh at..
lol,, yeah i aint much on humans either, but to me thats all the more reason why i aint wiping asses for a living.. lol the temptation to just off them im afraid would be too great..lol
lol. i agree with you there. i'm doing everything i can to avoid working with humans on any great level.
Well, Im not doing this out of the goddness of my heart. Its a well paying job for hardly any work. I am not tempted to kill anybody but my mother. I dont have murder in me.
Well then you're ignorant. In my opinion inheriting a dose of compassion would do you no harm. "Something to laugh at"... pathetic.
ignorant?? ewww thats harsh.. i have the upmost respect and reverence for all living things on this earth. i believe in treating ALL things equally. i am not going to pick and choose what deserves compassion and what doesnt. i am not god. you may choose to believe my beliefs are ignorant and pathetic and i really do understand why you would feel that way. not everyone is capable of living the way of life we do,and until you do you will never grasp our philosophy..
i killed a frog when i was 7 and i still feel bad...many...many years later...funny thing...i an watchin my 3 grandkids and as my daughter was leavin she said.''dad..if you see a moth..show no mercy''...cause she spins wool and the moths are her enemy...haha
