Yes, people, it's been confirmed at last. The shit is hitting the fan, and Rumsfeld is gonna go down.

Look at how Rummy skillfully played President Bush's religious beliefs into a war against Iraq and ISLAM...

These are Top Secret docs hand delivered by Rummy to W. with biblical quotes over images of Christian crusaders!

Christians are so EASILY manipulated by evil men.

Keep on believing that Republicans are some kind of crusaders for your Jesus...

and you will get the Religion wars you so crave at your doorstep.

Unbelievable. I mean, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

So, I guess this means that it really wasn't God who told him to invade Iraq.

The war on Iraq was planned well before Bush even took office. Read the PNAC documents from the decade before. They put Bush into office knowing he would follow their orders, being brain-damaged and all. I am sure Bush knew of the plans well in advance, too. It's highly unlikely that this is what drove him to go to war with Iraq, because again, he's just a puppet taking orders.

I am infuriated that this happened and was paid for by tax dollars. Why wasn't it investigated by congress, they must have seen the documents. Were they complicit in allowing overt christian proselytizing to take place at the cabinet level?

To me this is even more wrong than promoting the use of torture and that was criminal.

I was pointing out Skip might not be being completely fair within this thread. Overall...not just about Christians. I could be wrong.

Did you ever notice how it is a VERY common thing for people who are mentally ill in some way to lean very heavily towards religion? Took too many of the wrong drugs? Ya might be visiting god or the devil. Suffering from psychosis? Ya might be visited by spirit beings who tell you that you ARE god or the devil... Gone off the deep end for some reason? Ya might just hear god (or the devil) talking to ya, telling ya what to do...

The fact that our administration at the time found it acceptable to lace their official documents with religious tracts is totally unacceptable. I for one question their motives for doing so. If it was not offical policy then what was the necessity of doing so? It was totally illegal and totally unacceptable. Why our congress did not object is the bigger issue.

Those are exactly the reasons the framers of the constitution framed our constitution in the way they did. And those are the reasons we should protect ourselves from such attacks on reality.

Okay, last but not least ~>

Is it just me, or is Gentleman's Quarterly a rather bizarre "source" for investigative news about the government AND/OR about Christianity???

i'm trying to locate other sources, but so far, no deal...
