Thanks for all the nice words people I have come to this so backwards like with everything I do, and Glenn just stuck the tattoo machine into my hand after only a couple of hours of what was just gonna start as some art classes... so I haven't a single idea about anything technical yet, other than rules of depth, that might explain why the line sometimes seemed to go crazy even with my hand steady... but I do know I want to have a try with the needle dropped down a lot more, just to try it, before I get into any habits that might then be hard to break for trying something new. This could be a stupid question... but if the skin is all vaselined - then if you are a bit slow approaching it with the needle, could the tip of the needle get the chance to actually slide a bit? I'm pretty sure that's a dumb question and the answer is no...but no harm in asking..
I did stretch the skin, yes. The tube was metal, and there's an autoclave out the back, so I reckon it wasn't disposable (by the way, in what way would that have made a difference?). The weight felt fairly comfortable...didn't seem too light or too heavy, but I've nothing to compare it with. Umm, tips...yeh, he gave me the "ow" tip when I went too deep What's the main cause of blow-outs? EDIT: Also, he's Norwegian, and although his English is basically perfect, it's hard for him to explain technical reasons for things etc.
weeeel sometimes when it heals it goes away or doesnt look as bad, otherwise you have to rework the tattoo dont know if the removal tattoo laser thing would be an option to remove just the blowout area...
wow! that is so cool amybird! i admire tattoo artists. if i am ever in norway i would love you to tattoo me! ^_^
