I've had differant types of all of those in OP in my room while I lived in Mexico. They were no pets. The scorpions about three times a week. While I was in Mexico I was told that those stick bugs are poisonous. Is that true?

They were mine. I only have a few left, had to give up most of them when I moved to South Carolina last year. Haha The largest one I have is about 9 or 10 inches.

The stick bugs in this pic are sometimes eaten as and are supposed to taste like almonds. I am not familiar with any that are toxic to people or having a method of delivering venom, but a few species can release a burst of repellent which may be capable of making people ill if ingested.

Yes the tarantula with the red knees is native to Mexico. I would not have minded living around those but the scorpions can be a hassle to live around.

You have to be thinking about it all the time. Shake out your sheets before you get into bed, your clothes before you put them on, check your shoes. Look where you step if you're barefooted. It's a thought in every part of your daily life. And even when you are super careful, you will have many close calls.

They were also pretty good at repelling the ladies until I learned to hide them in a locked room.

I really need to read my own posts before I hit submit lol. Captive women would have taken up space that I could have used for tarantulas.
