I’m not sure how to ask this or even exactly what I’m asking.

When I returned from fighting in Vietnam in 1967, I was basically taken in by some hippies. They showed wonderful kindness to me and were a part of healing for me. Thank you Mike and Robin. From them I moved on and after a few years and the LSD, I realized I had become a hippie. It wasn’t something I decided to do – I had become. There were trips that still reverberate through my life, especially spiritually and in the work I ended up doing – trying to live the vision. Though I’ve never met him, Stephen Gaskin was and is my teacher. I quit taking acid around 1972 or 73, except for once, tripping with my mother in 1989 when she was dying.

I just retired and one of the things I’ve been doing is exploring is ethnobotanicals and similar. Thus far, the experience I’m having is mostly reaffirmation of relationships and many life choices. And so far and with fairly strong amounts, I haven’t yet been astonished and perfect and now and so on – as I was with acid. It’s been psychedelic and colorful (though a heavy body load) and with divine moments, more than colorful, but still, not amazing in a deep soulful sense.

Really looking forward to my 1st Rainbow Gathering.

So I’m wondering if others have had similar (not sure how to say it) – experiences? Anyone with any advice (about anything, actually)?

    (Thanking you)
