    Yeah, you can smoke Salvia with a vaporizer, but you have to be VERY careful with the amount of salvia you use!

    "Extract-enhanced leaves can also be smoked. Extract-enhanced leaves can be very strong and should only be smoked when a sitter is present. It is possible to vaporize leaves or extract in a special vaporizer that heats up material without burning it. Vaporization can be deceiving. Because very little smoke is produced, it is possible to inhale a very large dose without realizing it. Anyone trying vaporization absolutely MUST have a sitter present. Many commercial vaporizers made for Cannabis will not work for Salvia. Special Salvia vaporizers can be built easily, but vaporization is not for those new to Salvia.

    Vaporization of pure Salvinorin A is also possible, but it is not recommended! Unless the dose has been measured very precisely, this is extremely dangerous, as it's very easy to vaporize too large a dose. To be done safely, vaporization of salvinorin A requires weighing the dose on a very precise chemical balance capable of weighing in micrograms (millionths of a gram). These analytical balances cost well over $1000. There are now available standardized doses of Salvinorin A on leaves, using such preparations enables one to inhale a known precisely-measured dose of salvinorin A. This makes it possible to experiment with salvinorin A without having to buy an analytical balance, and it greatly reduces the risk of overdose."

    Yea i know doses should be measured precisly, am not new to salvia,
    just to using vape

    I live close to the netherlands were they sell salvia-extract in measured doses,
    so wouldn't need a scale then.

    Thanks for info

    So does anyone have any idea at what temperature salvinorin A will vaporize at?

    fugettaboudit,
    does not work.
    I tried with leaf, extract and pure.
    you can smoke the remains and get everything.
    which means the heat was not high enough.
    and if you get the heat high enough you will burn your lungs beyond repair.
    instead
    burn 10x extract in a small pipe with a regular lighter is all you need.
    20x if you are sure you need it.

    of course if u can smoke something u can also vaporize it, though being the salvia vaporises at a much higher temperature than bud - useing a bud vape would not work

    don't be so certain that you can vaporize it.
    the temperature of vaporized salvinorin is too high to have on your tissues.
    Note that salvia smoke contains solid particles, liquid droplets, and gas.
    the salvinorin is in the liquid part of the salvia smoke;
    that is why you have to smoke it quickly;
    no slow sensuous wasteful drags or it will create too slow an air stream and the droplets will fall out.

    ya what you said is correct i guess one of my friend asked me to buy salvia and when i gave him he smoked salvia by vaporizing and it sucked because of high temperature. The idea you said before is cool, it will be good i hope.
    Let me try

    I was always under the impression that salvia had a VERY high vaporizing point, which is why salvia joints just waste your leaves. I used an aluminum pipe with screen in the bottom, I've heard this is the best method, I'm not pro though.

    Vaping salvia extract DOES work. I have tried it before, and it gives a much different high then you would get from smoking it. It is ALOT more calm, and suttle, and tolerable, while smoking it you get a high that tends to feel evil, scary, and intense. Don't get me wrong i like smoking it more in general cause that's what salvias all about fucking your mind and scaring the shit out of your limits, but vaping it is nice sometimes if you just want a mood change.

    I successfully tripped out on Salvia using a Volcano Vapourizer.

    Had to turn it up to max (230 Celsius) and let it 'bake' a bit on the volcano before turning on the air pump.

    Filled up the chamber maybe 1/3rd of the way with 15x extract. It was probably too much. You could _barely_ see any smoke/vapour in the bag at all. One lungful got me to the point of not knowing where I was or what I was doing.

    you can always use a solvent, and pipette to measure a dose...

    dissolve 500 mg of chem_x in 500 ml of solvent_y, and measure out ml's with the pipette.
