finally found some, but got a question.

So acid has been scarce around here for the last year or so, i had it a couple times last summer, but now its back! im planning on getting some, but i had a quick question for you guys. the last few months ive been taking the SSRI fluoxetine (prozac). i take 10mg each day. i know that ssri's block the action of psychedelics so i was wondering, if i stop taking it now, how long would it take to get completely out of my system?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

i would give it a solid month. also you know the spiel about titrating off and whether its worth it or not etc yes?

 

I would say if you are medicated for depression, dont do any more drugs.

 

Yeah as in the drugs the doctor gives you. Those are so bad for you bro, the only medicine you need is love.

 

i did acid 3 times last summer. for a few months after that was the happiest time of my life. but ive been dealing with depression since i was very young and done a good variety of drygs i felt extremeltaredy grateful and satisfied with who i was as a person, in contrast to my earlier self-hating tedancies. also telepathy, future sight etc... but thats for another day. the prozac has actually been helping. i am on average less depressed that i was before and i havnt really had any of my really bad nights. i love acid and am not gonna pass it up. however, i might end up saving it for sometime later this year.

I broke my back in 2000. Of cource I was depressed. They put me on any pill the pharm people were pushing at the time. They need to make their money back! I definetly against pills now. But you better think before you take yourself off any pill. The effects may not be worth what your looking for. Make sure you really need these pills to begin with. Sucks these big pharm co.make money off people who have hard times. Another post all together.

 

well it's not good to go cold turkey off SSRIs, that has some potentially unpleasant side effects, right up to seizures unfortunately. you should just cut your dose in half for 2 weeks, then cut it in half again for 2 weeks, and then stop.

and of course the question of SHOULD you go off your meds, you have to decide that. are they what's been keeping you alive all this time? maybe not a good idea to stop taking them just to trip if its gonna mean major depression and shit.

 

ive only been on em for about six weeks. i would love to do acid and i miss tripping all together. last couple years ive done plenty of RCs and shrooms, plus acid a couple times. i mustve tripped 20 times in 2008. ive only tripped twice in 2009, and acid is a really great psychedelic. i want to do it at some point even if its not till the fall. i hate how prozac takes so long to get out of your system. oh well idk what im going to do. also i doubt ssri WD at this low dose is gonna be an worse than the high dose benzo and opiate WD ive been through. the last few acid tips i had left me feeling very confident. im not worried about this, im ecxited! i appreciate everybody's concern tho. ans thanks for all the feedback. ill keep you guys posted if i decide to do it.
