Is it wrong to emphasize how much smarter you are than others?

What I was getting at in this thread is I suppose, asking to what extent it is alright to clearly state how intelligent you think you are in comparison to others as opposed to mostly keeping that opinion to yourself and using wit and factual argument as a method of establishing intellectual superiority, or not giving a shit about intellectual superiority at all.

I think that in blatantly calling a majority of people stupid in public is a great way to alienate them and a very dumb thing to do when you have a particular message you wish to spread. At the same time, it is hard for me not to admit that a majority of people aren't stupid (I work in customer service) and I don't really care if I alienate people, hence I sort of have a dilemma of no great consequence.

Anyway, I read most of this thread and it was highly entertaining.

I chose that ID, 7 years ago, when I was a teenager. And in every forum I signed since that time, I used that ID or the ID AZSXDC. So in the internet, everyone knows me by these IDs.

imo. being clever is more like a creativity issue not intelligence. the two are not correlated.
