Has anyone ever had any experience doing a see of green grow method with longer 2'-4' flourescent bulbs, or even if u know the yeild of someone else that tried this method it would be helpful. Im looking for a method that is super efficient for power use, the speed doesn't matter to me but I suppose having it as I may it never hurts to get mature plants quicker. Any experience you can share would be very helpful and the more details the better, thanks.
Perhaps you outta look into the Tek-light T5 high output fluorescent lighting as it would be your best bet for a pure fluorescent grow. They are rated at 5000 lumens per bulb at 54 watts while supplying 92.59 lumens per watt and come in both spectrums to mis-match for full spectrum lighting needs. You will still get diminished yield from any fluorescent light period if used for both bloom/flower.Peace
You can build a flourescent board. Its about 6 flouro tubes drilled onto plywood, so its literally a board of flouros. Then you can attach it to chains, and rig up a pully. It might seem kind of outdated, but it does work, it keeps the light consistent, and has a huge output. I would get some flourexs' though, they would be far better.
Fluorex suck, owned a many of them and used as germ lites and for secondary blues to highlight hps's,the reason they suck is they are prone to quit working, they burn up and catch fire(had it happen, thank god I was home),cheaply made ,and the electronic ballist required for them are complete crap, but if ya wanna take a chance they were the best germ lites I have come across, but not worth burning the house down or wasting the money as 1 in 3 are defective while 1 in 2 bulbs burn out within a grow period.RISKY Go with the tek lite, they smoke any other fluorescents on the market, read the info on and compare.
