But to answer the topic, I've always had a thing for exotic women, asian, indian, mixed, I'm instantly attracted. Especially if they're tall. But you know, for a lot of guys, I think asian girls are more just a novelty for them.
Here in California, Asian ladies are gold diggers, materialistic and shallow. They took on to pop culture like white on rice.
Alot of truth to that. And even though I don't like to label people I find the so-called liberals who try to bend over backwards to show they love such things as diversity etc. in reality are often the biggest racists because they are only looking at a persons color, background and so on.
Well, as much as I love Rubin... I don't exactly agree with everyone being a racist. It is generally term used in a NEGATIVE light. Look it up! It IS an extreme . Usually used to denote superiority/inferiority, inherent capacity, and absoluteness. With that definition in mind, everyone doesn't have to be a racist. We may differentiate, but it is not the same. The subconscious and conscious mind are very different. We can only go by what people do and say, basically, so to assume anything more is speculation or our unconscious mind at work.
Very true too.--And who cares about the 'politically correct' terms anyhow. Not too long ago people from Japan and China and most of the orient had no problem being referred to as oriental. It's not words but the context and how their used.
all i know is my first boyfriend was indian and hated being called asian, since that was "slant eyed" not "almond eyed." that's all. but he was born & bred SoCal...what was even worse was when mexican's thought he was mexican because he was brown. always coming up and asking hIm for directions and he didn't speak spanish. I'D SNICKER. yes, i would.
I don't mind people saying what americans think, I mind when you have decide to repeat and repeat it, rudely. You've told me enough times, Zilla has told me, BSR has said it, yes I get the fucking picture already. It won't change how I define an asian.
i'll believe you. lol, i prefer calling them epicanthic folds. sounds hotter. many south asians (indians if you must call it that ) have them too. northeast india, bangladesh, nepal especially. i always wanted to date an indian guy. and a mexican. better yet, both at the same time
south asian or desi is commonly used in America. i think they mean "asian" alone, which I never argued for at all, in everyday average person use. the official documents pool south and east asian to just "asian." that's the way it is. everyday people may say "asian" alone on the spot to mean epicanthic folds, but they also do often recognize indians, pakis, etc as south asian. race is a bit of a twisted topic in America. it's a unifying term.. south asian. given the history and continuing tension between the ethnic groups, it goes to show how the newer generations could care less.
not only americans. i'm not 100% american and when they said asian i figured they were talking about orientals. that was being racist... if america was a race....
