    Okay.

    1. the neutral zone that is mentioned.

the only neutral zone I know of, is the romulan neutral zone, which was established by the treaty of algeron in 2311, long after when the events of this movie were supposed to have occurred. WTF?

    2. The federation was exploring the beta quadrant circa the enterprise' five year mission, and hadn't made it anywhere near cardassia, uhura ordered a cardassian drink.

now, it is an alternate timeline, etc. but those two things are. questionable.

Star Trek is some ingeniously veiled propaganda.

All must join the "galactic federation," or else, you primative Klingon you.

but it diverged 25 years ago

the treaty of algeron won't happen for a couple hundred years.

I posit that this is an alternate timeline of an alternate timeline, and they were still too lazy/incompetent to get it right.

first off i will say that i loved the new movie...

i wouldnt just pick on this movie though...the continuity errors alone in the show enterprise make me cringe...ferengi pirates...klingons almost 70 years before the timeline says the federation encounters them...the borg...this movie makes enterprise look like a shit show...

nero and old spock are from 2387(post nemesis)...they changed the timeline...and the romulan/starfleet war happened in the 22nd century...so according to trek lore...and the old series, the neutral zone has been around for awhile...

i think they did a good job keeping all their shit in one sock...

    Enterprise WAS a shit show.

    and "admiral archer"

whose prize beagle got scotty marooned, is supposed to have been captain archer.....

so this is from the TOS from the enterprise timeline

and enterprise is supposed to be the original timeline altered both by a specific episode of voyager (when they went back to 1996) and first contact

so, the timeline has been raped hard, and STILL, there is no reason for cardassians, or the treaty of algeron to have already happened.

Off The Net - Don't ask me if this makes any sense...I'm not THAT much of a fan...

Between 2245 and 2285, the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) conducted 5 five-year missions, most famously under Captain James T. Kirk between 2265 and 2270.

Iloja of Prim was a Cardassian serialist poet who lived during the First Republic. Jadzia Dax regarded Iloja of Prim as her favorite Cardassian author. One of her symbiont's previous hosts, Tobin Dax, met Iloja when he was in exile on Vulcan. He noted that Iloja had "quite a temper". (DS9: "Destiny")
Iloja of Prim's exact time period has not been established. He had to be alive sometime before 2245 by which time Emony Dax carried the Dax symbiont. As both were on Vulcan during this time period this indicates that both Trill and Cardassians were known to the Federation before 2245.

I'd just ask: Who owned the bar...who was the bars supplier?

My best guess to all this stuff is.....

Would anybody risk releasing a star trek film with timeline errors ?

just because the vulcans knew people doesn't mean that humans did

vulcans DEFINITELY knew about romulans on a cultural basis (spock might not have because of his mongrel nature, but unification, and their other history, DEFINITELY knew more about romulans than they were telling earth)

and vulcans didn't give all of their technology to the federation right off, I mean, even during TOS there are secrets, and some intrigue, and some seperatism.

hell, even by VOY vulcans and humans haven't fully interlocked as cultures, part of that is probably because vulcans live so god damned long.

I also wouldn't put it past any of the dax's to pull a little klingon storytelling, especially post kurzon. (just as chekov suggests russians are responsible for the invention of everything, there are some incongruities with dax's memories, and feats)

there was a movie glitch right? (i already talked to jerry about this) when kirk was hanging there and then the bad guy jumped down and picked him up by his neck and was choking him.. kirk says " i got your gun" and shoots him.. as he falls he drops the gun BUT the gun was already there BEFORE the bad guy jumped down...

no, it made me sad. because I know that it will be profitable, and the star trek I love is dead.
