Taking close-up pictures. PLEASE READ!

OK. I have a pet peeve of people taking close up pictures without the macro setting. I know most people don't read the instruction manuel, but there is a LOT of good info there. The biggest one is the macro setting.

Most cameras (95%+) have a macro setting. Most new cellphones have a macro setting too, assuming its not junk.
Some cameras have a supermacro (for pretty much setting the lens on the object) setting. (25%+)

Macro setting is used to take detailed close up pictures. Have you ever wondered why your 100$+ camera sucks at taking close up pictures? It doesn't! YOU just suck!

Please look for it now and test try a few macro pictures, its fun!

The macro setting will have a symbol like a flower:


Then you can take pictures like this


And not like this


This can help tremendously with people helping you with identifying certain things. Please use this when appropriate. I put this in the drug section because that is the main people who do close ups. Plus I use this forum a lot and it wont be as big of a problem for me anymore!

lmao. Your camera doesnt suck, YOU DO. Thank you. I love macro. I didnt know about it for a while ( i never had a use for it really, its just fun to use)
I found out about it on a different forum, from people always taking macro pics of their weed.

My phone doesnt have macro (that i could find...)

 

lol, yeah I was just mad this day. I think I was about as civil as I could be though, not to mean.

Yeah, not all phones have it yet, but they are coming out with them on the better phones. (not all expensive phones have it either tho, but most do.)
