if you get them taken out it only hurts for a little bit of time and you get a whole bottle of pain killers, i only had two teeth pulled but i got oxys for them... when my friend had mono he also got oxys... they throw them around here like they're party favors
Go to the dentist. Trust me, you don't want to even feel what happens when infection sets in. I spent 6 weeks in agonizing torture over a bad tooth and I imagine wisdom teeth don't feel much better. I can't take much over the counter pain killers anymore, because the otc cocktails I was taking all the time to get some slight relief ended up fucking up my stomach and I suspect it was not too kind to my kidneys either. And I'll tell you right now, it really REALLY sucks ass to have to choose between a headache and a stomach ache.
Don't be afraid to ask about anesthetics when you call for an appointment. Dentist offices ESPECIALLY understand nerves.
i got charged $400 to be knocked out cause i am sooo afraid of dentists, they said that it wasn't servere enough for my insurence to pay
but they will knock me out if i pay for it.. fuck yea.. that's just what I'm gonna do then.. I'd actually go if I knew they'd knock me out.. cuz this isn't going away.. it's been weeks.. I'm sick of it..
depends on the dentist. a guy i know had his wisdom teeth taken out sans anesthetic, they didn't put him under or give him nitrous or anything. then when i went, they didn't even ask...i got shot up with something in my arm and given gas and when i woke up it was over. some dentists will, some won't. most will. but ask first, don't assume you'll get good painkillers after, either. i've known several people to be given prescription strength tylenol and nothing else.
I got all 4 of mine pulled in one sitting. You have to ask for the knocking out. It usually depends on how good your insurance is, but most good hospitals will have a toxicologist on hand to put you under. Then they give you percocet usually. That is what they gave everyone else I was with for after the pulling. If not, you should demand them to give you something stronger. They work for YOU after all... ty nesta for correcting the 'hydrocodeine' fault. It was bugging me. OPIATES MAKE YOU ITCH. Not the weather...
