is it more stressful when you go from an emotional high to an emotional low, or when you go from baseline to either extreme?

I seem to be one extreme or the other.

Either I am in a good mood and try to build people up or I turn into a demon and try to destroy everything in my path.

I rarely find that middle ground.

No wounder my employees are freaked out.

I would say it's more stressful to go from baseline to an emotional high then from a high to a low or baseline to a low, sort of like climbing stairs... it's always more stressful to go up, IMO

being at the height of an emotional high is fun...every thing is so wonderful. you feel like a trillion dollars.

it's best to engage the world in this state of mind.

I personally think its hard to tell, cus there might be many factors relating to the stress.

I'm surprised more people didn't say high to low. When I think everything is rainbows and butterflies and it all turns to shit is when I am most stressed/saddened. When I'm at baseline I'm generally free from expectations so I'm ready for anything. Anybody who thinks going from low to high is stressful must have guilt issues.
