hmmm lithium why were the meetings secret for years surely if they had nothing to hide they wouldnt need all the secrecy , why do they arrest people who photograph the outsides of the meetings .

the sarin tests that were supposed to be common cold research have come out one man had a verdict of unlawful killing he dropped dead after being injected with sarin, I dont think anyone serves time in jail for killing him

Yes, but as Lithium says, why's it so surprising that the most powerful people in the world have private meetings? There are plenty of quite genuine cases where power has been abused, why the need to base outlandish claims on scraps of circumstantial evidence to fit a theory?

I agree with lith and Sal here. What would be scary would be if it turned out that the US was having secret meetings with bin Laden or Qadafi for instance. (I expect someone will tell me they already are.) But after all we already know that Western political leaders are hand-in-glove with bankers and industrialists, and they're bound to have confidential discussions whether or not it involves them all gathering in one place.

I have not seen it on the news...I've read about it in my newspaper.
It said this year they talked about the economy and recession of all the countries taking part. Apparently most countries send a few delegates.

It was quite a shock to find out what they were talking about.

I guess there isn't much to report on, since it is private (rather than secret.)
