The tree? Smells like fruitloops. I worked in the tree buisseness for years . And never knew what the deal was . Can someone inlighten me on what it does andhow it's even done . Thanks
ermmmmmmmm ummmmm,, ya make tea with it... make file with it. you dont trip on it .... too much of it it is considered a carcinogen..
So its not psychoactive. Just used (past tense) in food, till it was found it is as you say, a carcinogen.
Thanks , just wondering. Didn't want to miss something. I actually chewed the inner bark (green part) for the fruit loop cereal taste.
sassafras oil is anyways, the main precursor for MDMA and lots of other fun drugs. Its also highly watched. If you can get sassafras oil you can make a shit ton of money either selling it or cooking it up into MDMA.
Also its not carcinogenic thats a bunch of shit spread by the DEA when they saw it was being used to make massive amounts of drugs and they needed a reason to control it. Also sorry for triple post lol.
in LARGE amounts it IS thought to be a carcinogen..thats why they quit making root beer out of it. granted studies have shown that it would take ingesting MASSIVE amounts of it to cause cancer but it is indeed thought to be a carcenogen.
Yeah well if you take massive constant doses of anything it will probably cause cancer. Perhaps I should rephrase what I said: Sassafras has never been proven cancerous to man, but it does cause cancer in mice if they are pumped up with it all day every day. The main reason it was discontinued for root beer is simply because DEA wanted to control it because it is used for cooking MDXX. The cancer aspect of sassafras is extremely over played.
From Sticky Tea in large doses acts as stimulant and induces perspiration. Safrole (MDA) stimulant, hallucinogen; aphrodisiac in large doses, euphoriant in small doses. Contraindications: Safrole is toxic to liver (avoid repeated use). Increases incidence of tumors in laboratory animals. Excessive doses may cause vomiting, shock, aphasia, and death by central paralysis of respiration. Normal use as tea is safe. Supplier: Fresh root wild, eastern USA, collected in early spring or autumn. Dried root, MGH; young trees, RCS.
I thought the MDMA precursor was specifically safrole, which has to be extracted from sassafras oil? I think the root is a few steps away from being useful in drug manufacture. Either way, it's SUPER cheap from the botanical vendors I frequent. I might just get some to play with.
