First trip, half amazing half terrorfying. Opinions please?

Hi all, had my first trip last night. Absolutly amazing.
Apparently it was pretty good LSD. I'm not sure about the terminology but it was 1 tab of lsd on cardboard which I was told is stronger than paper.

Everything was amazing, while peaking we were at the park. Probley one of the most incredible experiences of my life. We went back to my mates place. After I peaked and started to come down 5 hours after having the tab, some people I've met twice came round to my mates house. They were sober and seemed pretty bored. Also annoyed that we weren't really interacting with them. Me and the 2 others who had the lsd, Decided to have a cone since we heard it could make you peak again. Which it did for me, or felt like it anyway. Everything seemed okay if not abit awkward.

One of them had been trying to trip us out earlier but it hadnt worked since we were back in reality. After the weed I was peaking again he put on this video.

I had no idea it was from a movie, didnt really know what we were watching. Once it got up to the cartoon part where thier trip starts to turn bad so did the world around me. It didnt faze me that much. Then as soon as I heard the word machette I freaked the fuck out and had to get out of the room. I straight away jumped to the conclusion that he had done it to freak me out. That the videos purpous was for freaking people out on acid.

What I thought I saw was flashing lights, red and black on the screen repeating over and over machette trip, bad trip. Grumpy cartoon faces as well similar to . Which isnt really whats on the screen at all but I can see why it freaked me out. Then for the next 5 hours I was terrorfied it would happen again, couldnt decide if the video was real or if my mind had just snapped. My mind just kept going over and over it.

I'm still alittle on edge from the entire thing, but then again weed always has made me abit paranoid, and I do have some bad anxiety in social situations.

Before the video and the sober guys showing up the LSD was amaaazing.

So I'm just wondering if you guys think LSD is the wrong drug for me? Or was it just the weed/situation.

don't trip around people that you don't trust. having people fuck me with while i am tripping is one of my pet peeves. i just absolutely won't stand for it.

just try to let go of what happened and next time be more careful of who comes over while you are tripping, atleast until you gain enough experience for it not to bother you. my first few times tripping i was only around people that i was tripping with, or other people who i knew were good people and would be nice/not fuck with me.

your setting is a very important part of how your trip will turn out. when you take lsd you are really just opening yourself up to outside influence, much moreso than everyday life. so you want to make sure that you are in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.

 

its called set and setting look it up, do a bit of research before taking a drug like LSD.

I really don't like to trip around people who aren't tripping with me, and I've never had anyone deliberately try to freak me out.

Like others have said, next time make sure you're with good people in a nice setting.

 

Thanks for the replys guys, I did actually do abit of research about lsd before taking it. I just didnt realise the level of sensitivity your mind is at, which was really amazing.

I can't get over how beautiful and intense the world was while on it.

Also I the guy who put on the video, Even though he was being an ass before, I don't think he realised it would ruin my trip. It was just the paranoia kicking in. And then from there it was all down hill haha. I'm sure you guys have been there before.

Hrm. On a similar note, one of my mates was talking about he was going to try and 'enhance' the journey of his mates by having a recording of one of his friends (not tripping) saying that the other friends (tripping) would be going on a heavenly journey towards spiritual enlightenment and playing it through wifi when he went upstairs. Is this fucked up or not?
