So yes, I just pierced my own smiley. Quite an awkward piercing to do yourself. It didn't really hurt though. Just a little prick, pinch, done.

Anywho, I was wondering if I could use sterile saline solution to clean it.
I used it on my monroe and it healed up quite nicely...
Also, if I dilute Listerine, can I use that to clean it?

    Get back to me.
    Much appreciated.

Saline solution works. I don't know about the listerine, though since it's got alcohol in it.

    Okay, cool.
    Saline it is.

    And I'd get H2Ocean, but I'm poor.
Seeing how I pierced myself. Ha.

    And Raz, you're amazingly pretty.

Original Listerine is good for oral piercings after every meal. I'm sure a good sea salt& water rinse will clean out well too. Sea salt is wonderful on piercings :)

    ROFFLEWAFFLE. Really?

Whatever you do, sug, DON'T use listerine. Just use saline, swish it round yr mouth for a couple minutes after you eat, smoke, drink, etc etc etc.

All H2Ocean is is saline solution. I got a bottle of it at Walmart [same kinda bottle, spray squirty nozzle] for like, four bucks.

    Yeah, I was like lolwhut?

That's what I thought. Wasn't sure if I could use it if I diluted it or not, though.
But it's cool if I use the alcohol-free stuff, right?

    Neato.
Yes; straight, regular Listerine is a horrible idea.
    I know that much.
    Lulz.

Right on. And a thought on the H2Ocean, since you're like me and broke, just get you some sea salt and make your own saline solution with that. Sea salt is like ten times better to cook with and stuff anyway. :)

I mean, of course the regular salt will work, I'm just always advocating sea salt. haha

I'm not sure what's with all the anti Listerine, it never hurt me. I always used it (original only) with some water to dilute it and it did it's job.

See, that's what I thougt at first when I had just pierced
my monroe; Diluted Listerine will work. It never seemed to
heal. It just got kind of raw and infected until I started using sea salt.

Of course everyone is different, nig.

Using Listerine isn't good because it contains alcohol. The alcohol has adverse affects on the piercing when its trying to heal and is a good way to get it infected.
