    opitcal = distances

    10X optical on a P&S = blurry

    the sonys are expensive but some of the best P&S imo

    mines not blurry...even at 20x

    for nosehairs I switch to super macro:rolleyes:

    and I really like the fold out lcd ...its great for taking pictures of things at really weird angles ;)

    if your worried about breaking shit you should look into fisher price

    I would consider getting a refurbished model. That way you can get a better cam for your buck. I bought a refurbished Canon Rebel XTi over a year ago. It was supposed to be 500 at retail but I got mine for £250. Its fabulous too.

    I'm pretty sure the fold out LCD is pretty durable seeing as my 1 year old plays with the camera all the time.... nothings broken yet.... and its just seriously awesome. on manual or auto... you're basically guaranteed a great shot!

    sony's are great, you won't be disappointed... I went from a cybershot to my Alpha 350. I still love my cybershot for going out an about because it fits in my back pocket, and has fallen many times and still works like a charm! But my alpha is the most loved in this house... I'm getting my new tripod in time to do a nighttime skyline of London for Canada day.... It'll be cool to see it with all the fireworks set off all over the place!

    i guess the reason i dont like lcd fold outs is i used to be a camera sales lady and we always had to puch the waranty b/c they are a bit fragile.
