Ahh okay...i never put dye into my hair..ever! But I've been thinking about it, you know, just to try and see how I like it. I have like dark brown hair, and I was going to buy a Lorelei(or however u spell it) semi-permenant hair dye in like this reddish color. I was thinking about having my best friend do it because she dyed other peoples hair before!

But still, Im kinda scared! Im such a dork but will my hair go back to its normal color after it washes out? And will it 'improve' my hair, because my hair is pretty dry and coarse, its kinda like horsehair haha and my hair is pretty thick too. Any help would be apperiated! THANKS I AM SO CLUELESS!!

Don't worry sweetheart...it's not the end of the world, and it's not difficult, and really...even though it says permenant...it will rinse out over time, esspecially considering your hair is dark already and you are adding red, it will mostly just give you alot of highlighting rather than a serious drastic change in color. If you aren't 100% sure that you want to do it, try it with a semi permenant color first to give the color a test drive.

I have dyed my hair SOO many times it's not even funny, and surprisingly my hair is fine now. Matter of fact I just put bright orange streaks in it yesterday.
But yeah, have your friend do it, since she knows what she's doing. Follow the directions on the box, condition afterwards and you will be fine. When you first rinse the color out, it will be brighter than it's going to stay....it will begin to rinse out everytime you wash your hair for the first week or so. And if you really don't like it, you can always find a dye that matches your normal color and dye it back.

Good luck! Lemme know how it goes!

When you dye your hair permanent it will stay in till it grows out, at least thats what it does in mine. If your worried but still want to die your hair, try a #2 or month long hair dye. Its really hard to get back your original color w/o cutting it, so make sure you want that red hair before you do it!
